And it's time the media honestly distinguished between legal and illegal, like normal people do.

Right is right, wrong is wrong when it comes to illegal immigration

The mayor of Seattle announced recently, and with great fanfare, that the city is suing President Trump and just about everyone else you can think of in the administration. Why? Because they want to deny federal funds to cities that assist people in breaking the law. Cities like Seattle. This is what the mayor really means when he refers to Seattle's "sanctuary status." There is actually no such status that has any sort of legal meaning. When you're a sanctuary city, what that means is that lawbreaking illegal immigrants can come into your city and hide, and none one who works for the city will do anything to help federal immigration officials in detecting you and holding you to account for your lawbreaking.

This is a very intentional, calculated deception

Even if they bust you for another crime and they find out in the course of processing you that you're in the country illegally, they won't take any action concerning your immigration status. In other words, Seattle and other "santuary cities" are willing to be your accomplices in your commission of a federal crime. And they don't think this should cost them one cent of federal funding. We'll see how this federal lawsuit turns out - if they can venue-shop for a liberal judge they might be able to win until the case reaches the Supreme Court - but in the meantime, let's be clear about something on the subject of immigration. The media and liberal mayors like this guy would have you believe that President Trump and other conservative Americans are "anti-immigration." They pretend there is no distinction to be made between those who come via legal means and those who don't. They further pretend there is no distinction between the way conservatives view those here legally and those here illegally. This is a very intentional, calculated deception.

Most of them are well aware that the real attitude of President Trump and other conservatives is simply this: If you came here legally, welcome! Do yourself a favor and assimilate into our communities and our culture rather than isolating yourselves the way many groups of immigrants have done in Europe, often with the ill-advised support of local officials. Become part of America. Learn our language. Live alongside us. Work hard. Experience the American dream. We're happy to have you. If you came here illegally, go back and do it right. If liberal mayors and Democrat politicians in Washington had the same attitude, it would be easier to separate the two groups from each other and deal with the illegals as we should. Instead, they celebrate illegal immigration and paint as villans those who simply want to see the law followed. And entire American cities vow to stand in the way of federal law enforcement, and file lawsuits when this might cost them their free federal money. Why don't the media ask these mayors to explain why they want to aid and abet lawbreakers, rather than asking conservatives why we "hate immigrants," when we don't? We just want the law respected. I guess in this day and age that makes us radicals.
