Senator Joe Lieberman “Alarmed” by CAIR

(Coral Springs, FL) Yesterday, Senator Joseph Lieberman, after a speech he had given in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, told Americans Against Hate (AAH) Chairman Joe Kaufman that he is alarmed by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). He stated, “What I’ve heard about them alarms me.”

Senator Lieberman had been the featured speaker in an event hosted by the Downtown Jewish Center Chabad, held at Rothstein Rosenfeldt Adler, a law office based in Ft. Lauderdale. Following the speech, Kaufman approached Senator Lieberman to take a photograph together and speak to him about the organization he (Kaufman) founded in 2006, CAIR Watch. Kaufman stated, “We are proud of Senator Lieberman for taking a strong stand on CAIR. Every member of the U.S. Senate should recognize the danger this organization poses and do the same.” CAIR Watch has now placed Senator Lieberman in the “Honoree” section of its website. He joins fellow Senators Barbara Boxer, Dick Durban, Diane Feinstein, Charles Grassley and Charles Schumer, all of which have previously received the award. Joe Kaufman is available for interview.
