Socialist Democrats: They Didn’t Come To Play, They Came to Destroy the USA Only Fox News can answer the question why their Fox News Insider, Ben Shapiro is featured in the stomach-churning Vanity Fair picture portfolio headlined: ‘“We Did Not Come To Play”: Politics’ New Power Players are ready for a fight.”’ Shapiro, gushingly described by the magazine as the conservative “It boy”, is the only one in Vanity Fair’s photo lineup not (yet) elected to public office.
“Shapiro, perhaps more than any other up-and-coming conservative pundit, was made for Donald Trump. Though he considers himself a Trump skeptic—a stance his detractors say is cynically designed to maximize his public profile—his snotty righteousness, college-conservative smarts, and uncanny ability to turn a talking point into a tweet make him the perfect avatar for an age in which conservatives are united by an abiding desire to “own the libs.” (Vanity Fair, Jan. 1, 2019) Just to think so many thought that the hate-inspired Democrats are united by an abiding desire “to own the Republicans”. Back to Vanity’s description of “It boy” Shapiro:
“While others mine cultural grievances for clicks, Shapiro has turned his brand of politics into a media empire. The 34-year-old’s podcast is downloaded upwards of 15 million times per month, and The Daily Wire, the Web site he founded three years ago, before leaving Breitbart, receives millions of monthly page views. As other right-wing figureheads flame out—Steve Bannon banished; Milo Yiannopoulos relegated to the backwaters of Instagram; Bill Kristol fading into irrelevance—Shapiro’s savvy for our political moment suggests the conservative “It boy” is here to stay.”
Vanity Fair should know that porn sites get millions of clicks and downloads per month too. The avant-garde magazine presents Representatives Elijah Cummings, Jerry Nadler, Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters, and Richard Neal—who will chair the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, the Judiciary Committee, the House Intelligence Committee, the Financial Services Committee, and the Ways and Means Committee, respectively as ‘The Watchdogs’.

Sitting ladylike at a desk decorated with flowers, Nancy Pelosi is identified as the “ONCE AND FUTURE SPEAKER”. Joe (“don’t call me former”) Biden is presented as “the GODFATHER”; Senators Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Joe Manchin as “the OUTSIDERS” and Michael Bloomberg as “the FREE AGENT”. Senator Chuck Schumer strangely not mentioned in the magazine portfolio. Is he now an OUTSIDER? But it’s the magazine’s social justice warriors’ obvious glee in presenting “Freshman Democrats” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, Deb Haaland, Veronica Escobar and Sharice Davids whom the magazine proudly states “have sought to project one message since setting foot in Washington: “We did not come to play” bringing on the most grief.
“All six women, along with dozens of others, represent the new face of the Democratic Party—young, non-white, L.G.B.T.Q, disproportionately female, they have indeed proved that “playing” is not on their agenda”. (Vanity Fair)
Nowhere in their florid description does Vanity Fair indicate that all six are Socialist Democrats pushing an agenda to turn America into a Socialist State. But the Vanity Fair portfolio with words describes better than anything else—including today’s swearing-in ceremony—just what Americans are up against—going backwards to nation-destroying Socialism rather than going forward. As a CFP reader pointed out this morning, “It’s enough to make you want to puke.” No, Ocasio-Cortez and Democrat “freshman” didn’t come to Congress to play. They came to destroy the U.S.A.
