“Socialist” Is Code For Black?

Maybe "tax increase" is code for black, or "rhetoric" is code for black, or maybe anything McCain or Palin says is code for black…?

The "socialist" label that Sen. John McCain and his GOP presidential running mate Sarah Palin are trying to attach to Sen. Barack Obama actually has long and very ugly historical roots. McCain and Palin have simply reached back in history to use an old code word for black. It set whites apart from those deemed unAmerican and those who could not be trusted during the communism scare.
Surely, author Lewis Diuguid knows that Democrats spent those years doing everything to quash the Civil Rights Movement, including Robert Kennedy's spying on Dr. King. If Mr. Hoover spent his time monitoring blacks, it was because in those days almost all blacks were Republicans and since Democrats didn't want to have anything to do with them, blacks had to devise independent plans within the black community for economic survival. If that's what Hoover calls socialism, fine. To link McCain and Palin with Hoover just because of a common word is another example of race-baiting at its finest. Maybe Mr. Diuguid should look into the missing 100 years of history omitted from the Democrat Party website. The 100 years that included the Democrat-created black codes, literacy tests, the Ku Klux Klan, and all of the other wonderful things they'd hope we'll all forget. The problem is THAT would take effort. Race-baiting does not.
