'Someone' Is Walking Behind YouIt’s December 15, 2020, and if you’ll only let yourself notice, ‘Someone’ is walking right behind you. He walks behind you in the snow, on wet pavement—wherever you are and no matter the weather. His Footprints are not just imperceptibly left behind in the sand, but in the snow and everywhere else. If you look over your shoulder behind you, you may not see Him, but if you look out from your heart, He is undeniably there.

All roads to Christmas Eve Midnight Mass, 2020 are closed

All roads to Christmas Eve Midnight Mass, 2020 are closed, even though as the St. Andrew’s Advent Novena so inspirationally tells us: “Hail and blessed be the hour and the moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin at midnight, in Bethlehem in piercing cold”. The current Pope is holding Midnight Mass at at 7:30 p.m., this year, supposedly in ordinance with the curfew forced on Italy by Covid-19. The distasteful and disrespectful ‘Nativity Scene’ assembled in front of St. Peter’s Basilica, a politically correct ‘Come All Ye Faithful’ ad. Sadly, the Vatican’s Christmas message has been picked up in dioceses much closer to home, including some in which clerics have had a Covid mask placed on statues of the Blessed Virgin. In other words, in defiance of Scripture, having Her looking down at Her Baby in the Manger—while masked. But “the hour and the moment” of the Birth of Our Savior still comes at midnight, and it will still be midnight wherever you may be on this Christmas Eve. The little Nativity scene you assemble at home, is far more dear than the Vatican’s because it most closely resembles the humility of the original scene. So why in these darkest of days is “Someone” walking right behind you”? distasteful and disrespectful ‘Nativity Scene’

Christmas can never be canceled

It is the Savior Who came into the world as a Baby on Christmas Eve when “the word was made flesh and dwelt among us”. Why is our Savior following us at this particular time? He follows us every day of our lives, but right now follows all of us us to lead all of us to the most beautiful scene of all time: to the soulful sight of a Babe laid humbly in a manger even though coming into the world as King. For all of those worried that you-know-who has found so many eager others in joining him to cancel this Christmas: Impossible!
“Christmas can never be canceled — not by presidents or governors, prime ministers or politicians. Christmas, after all, is the celebration of the birth of Emmanuel, God joining himself to suffering humanity as a tiny and vulnerable baby 2,000 years ago in a humble manger in Bethlehem. And nothing can ever “cancel” the hope and excitement that Christian believers experience every year as they celebrate the earthly arrival of Jesus. So while our Christmas celebrations this year might be different than in the past, they should be as joyful as ever, bringing us the true peace that can only come from the Christ Child.” -Michael Warsaw, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the EWTN Global Catholic Network, and the Publisher of the National Catholic Register.

Let that much beloved “Someone” lead you to “the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ”. (Philippians 4:7) He is there, He is real and walking right behind you! Jesus
