President Obama’s job-killing agenda

Speakin’ Out; Punched in the gut

The private sector produces jobs, but you wouldn’t know that if you believe the rhetoric of President Obama. In dealing with economic recovery, he has consistently put an emphasis on make-work job programs, and creating jobs by increasing the number of government jobs.
The biggest so-called jobs bill in history passed early in the Obama administration was filled with examples of millions of dollars going to businesses that failed – meaning zero jobs created, to numerous examples where hundreds of thousands of dollars were spent per job created. Republicans in the House of Representatives have been very responsible in passing legislation to help private sector job creation by lowering taxes and reducing government regulations that are burdening businesses. But the Senate, controlled by proponents of the Obama agenda of government growth, does not even allow consideration of any of this legislation that actually helps with economic growth.

People were duped into reelecting President Obama, making him totally blameless for the longest economic slump since the Great Depression. After four years of doing absolutely nothing to help revive the private sector, he is reelected with jimmied economic statistics showing unemployment had dropped a percentage point below 8 percent. Compared what we were used to before the largely Democrat-engendered economic crash in 2008, the official unemployment rate is still nearly 3 percent above what it was through most of the first decade of the 21st century. That, of course, made no difference to those seemingly hypnotized into thinking that Mr. Obama can do no wrong. In response to the latest numbers released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which showed that the number of Americans not in the labor force had grown by 663,000 people in March, and the number of Americans no longer even looking for work is at an all-time record high of 90 million people, 1st District Congressman Tim Huelskamp (R-Kansas) said:
“In just four short years, President Obama has managed to roll back the economy 34 years. The labor force participation rate has plunged to 63.3% -- the lowest level since Jimmy Carter inhabited the White House! Whether it’s President Carter’s economic malaise or Obamanomics, big government is not the answer. Instead, I have a real economic growth plan. House Republicans should put a stop to President Obama’s job-killing agenda. Defunding Obamacare in the next ‘must-pass bill’ is a great place to start.”
Contrary to the Obama administration’s dreams of Democrats gaining a majority in the House of Representatives in the 2014 election, Obama is really facing a growing outrage by the non-deceived voters as Obamacare is more and more implemented and his true agenda of expanding the size and scope of the federal government keeps punching the American people in the gut.
