MISSISSAUGA, ON, - Subaru Canada, Inc. (SCI) today announced a year-over-year sales improvement for its WRX STI and Outback models as sales rose by 32.6 percent and 7.3 percent, respectively. While November sales totalled 2,012 units, a decline of 21.6 percent over the same month last year, year-to-date sales only marginally decreased by 3.8 percent.

Whereas last year's November results catapulted 2010 sales into record-breaking territory - setting a new milestone in company history - current total YTD sales are at 24,491 units, making 2011 the second best year ever with still one month to go. With Subaru's all-new 2012 Impreza being released in December, Subaru anticipates that sales numbers will continue to improve throughout the month. "Customers, dealers and everyone at SCI are all very excited about the official launch of our brand new 2012 Subaru Impreza," said Shiro Ohta, president and CEO of Subaru Canada. "We think the fourth generation of this value-packed model will exceed all expectations within the compact car segment." Subaru Canada, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. of Japan. Headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario, the company markets and distributes Subaru vehicles, parts and accessories through a network of over 85 authorized dealers across Canada.
