There is no question that President Obama has taught us that choosing wise advisers and listening to them is important. And there is no question that a strong grasp of foreign policy is essential to the job.

But the same people who elected Obama and agree with his policies are the very ones who are trying to discredit the GOP frontrunners on foreign affairs. Not every candidate is well versed on every subject. They can learn and they can put together a team a that is smart and trustworthy. Obama did neither and we are suffering the consequences. Had voters studied his past they would have seen an arrogant man, given to listening only to the likes of Bill Ayers. They would have seen a White House filled with celebrities and supporters, not one where ideas flourish and experts abound. We don't know who the Republican nominee will be, yet. But to discount anyone because they haven't had experience might eliminate the best of the lot. No one in the GOP field has Obama's hang ups, several are proven leaders that seek advice and ideas, all love this country, all have done more than organizing communities. Jennie Veary
