Surprise-Obama didn’t lie to Bill O’Reilly; he just didn’t tell the whole truth

I want to compliment Joseph A. Gamero for his column entitled, ‘You don’t understand him!’ on this website. I also commend ‘Americans for Tax Reform’ for their compilation of the various taxes that have been foisted upon an apathetic and uneducated American populace since Obama was sworn in as President.

I agree with Mr. Gamero’s premise, but I think this premise can be expanded upon. When a politician runs for elective office, many times he or she will state the he or she will not increase taxes, etc., and technically, he or she is correct. All an individual Senator or Representative can do is write, sponsor, co-sponsor, support and/or vote upon legislation. He or she cannot do anything by himself/herself. Because the Bilderberg media allows this duplicitous campaigning and verbiage while in office to go on without any accountability, the American voter is lulled into believing the tripe most politicians shovel during an election and while in office.

Democrats purposely put controversial and gluttonous budgets on Reagan's desk for his signature

You can go back to President Reagan to see how the media has obfuscated the truth about his fiscal policies. Reagan-haters consistently point to the deficits that accumulated under his presidency. What they refuse to acknowledge is that the Democrats controlled Congress during both of his terms. If people knew anything about politics, they would realize that President Reagan, short of a veto, had zero control of the budgets put on his desk. In an effort to cripple President Reagan politically and to expand government intrusion into our lives, the Democrats purposely put controversial and gluttonous budgets on his desk for his signature. That’s divisive politics, and he didn’t take the bait; he signed the bills! Fast forward to today. Growing up in Chicago, President Obama has mastered the political equivalent of the mafia hierarchy machinations for triggering what he doesn’t want to be accused of doing himself. As the Democratic ‘Capo di tutti capi,’ he used Pelosi and Reid as a button-man and woman to twist arms, politically bribe crafty holdouts, and do just about anything short of physical harm to ram through the worst legislation ever forced upon the citizens of this country. Ironically, politicians didn’t even write this excrement; lobbyists were allowed to write into the law what their ‘employers’ wanted. How convenient! Why do we even have Representatives and senators? So, technically, President didn’t lie when he said he didn’t increase taxes, but he did lie when he said his would presidency would be ‘ … open and transparent …’ and ‘… the public will have 5 days to look at every bill that lands on my desk’ and ‘No more secrecy!’ (Visit YouTube, 14 Feb 2009). President Obama is about as trustworthy as Edwards, the Longshanks of England was. Does he have a sincere sinew or honest bone in his body? He says what people (his constituency) wants to hear, and he is determined to impose his will upon the entire nation. Even while he was speaking to the nation about restraining spending and lifting restrictions that inhibit business, he had button-man Durbin pushing to spend more money and his minions inside the EPA were busy as beavers, gnawing away at the coal and oil industries. There is an inherent truth that ‘actions speak louder than words.’ This sentiment isn’t reserved solely for the President; shouldn’t all of us look past the rhetoric of every politician to see the true meaning of what each one says, not just have a knee-jerk reaction because of party affiliation, race, creed, etc. The American taxpayers and voters need to educate themselves about politics and politicians to be able to discern when those they vote for are playing them for rubes. Honesty may be the best policy, but it is a rare commodity inside the walls of our government, from the White House to both chambers of Congress. Why do you think the TEA Party has risen like a Phoenix, and threatens those in both parties who refuse to do the will of the people in an honest and forthright manner? Let’s expect and demand the truth from every politician!
