In an unusual do-over vote, the House on Wednesday passed a sweeping Republican tax overhaul for the second time in two days — giving final approval to the $1.5 trillion measure and sending it to President Trump for his signature. It was an anti-climactic end to an otherwise triumphant win for the GOP, marking the party's first major legislative victory for the year and handling Trump a signature domestic achievement before the holidays. The left, of course, is in full melt down mode, claiming that Republicans will eventually regret letting people keep more of the money they earn. One suspects that's another example of the fantasy land they live in, but we'll see.
We'll have an update - and a live feed - when the signing ceremony takes place. As Joe Biden would say, "This is a big f**king deal."Tax bill clears House on revote, now headed to president’s desk amid claims by the left that GOP will soon rue the vote. I doubt it, as most Americans will see lower federal income taxes next year & beyond. Not to mention likely growth effects in economy.
