TEA Party - Lincoln Club

I am proud of Rick Perry, today. The Governor of Texas finally came clean with his previous idiotic statement on illegal immigration and apologized to those he accused of having no cardiac parts because they opposed offering “dream type” benefits to the children of illegal aliens. Perry admitted flat out he was misguided after his wife essentially kicked him in the butt saying that he was wrong in attacking those who disagreed with how the State of Texas deals with the fallout involving the children of illegal aliens.

Is Perry’s Mea Culpa enough to kick start his moribund campaign for the nomination? We will have to wait and se on that one. I was chatting recently with my good friend, Jim Gilchrist of the Minuteman Project. I shared Jim’s concern the Republican Party is not exactly on the same page on the issue of illegal immigration that plagues this country on many levels. Governor Perry and the rest of the Republicans can do great service for the country and themselves by opposing the break-away Republican Lincoln Club of Orange County, California. It seems the Club which takes its name from our 16th president proposes a pathway to citizenship for the millions of illegals who currently reside in, make their living from, and use services provided by, the United States of America.

The Lincoln Club is wrong! The Club’s decision to acquiesce to this run-away problem is divisive to the interests of the Republican Party and the United States of America and bolsters Obama’s do nothing action in securing the border. Curiously, I want to commend Barack Hussein Obama and the Department of Homeland Security for deporting about 1 million illegal aliens these past twelve months by simply following American law, U.S. Civil Code 1324. The Regime has much work to do in deporting millions more and securing our border. The protection of our southern border is sadly waning. Rewarding those who have broken immigration law will only beget more law breakers. I am surprised the Lincoln Club fails to understand this concept. Have we leaned nothing from the Ronald Reagan amnesty of 1986? When you grant a mass amnesty to millions of poor, uneducated, unskilled masses, millions more will swarm here like bees around the honeycomb. Republicans need to get on the same page on this issue and they need to do this now! A pathway to citizenship for any illegal alien is off the table and not negotiable. The Republican platform should state unequivocally the border shall be secured immediately. Then the United States should conduct a census count exactly who is and who is not a legal resident. Those here illegally but who have not committed any additional crimes, may apply to a guest worker program, not unlike the agricultural Bracero Program of six decades ago. Those who have committed felony crimes shall be deported to their countries of origin after serving their jail or prison sentences. After a census count has been established and the government has control of the border, those remaining may apply for a green card and permanent residency. Further, Congress will continue to discuss the legal status of those who remain in the country but at no time shall citizenship or voting rights be offered to those who have entered the country illegally. In the meantime, Dept of Homeland Security and all employers should adopt the E-Verify program which ascertains immediately the status of the social security card- holder’s number. If a worker presents a social security number held by Mary Doe and the employer can see the worker is not Mary Doe, the worker must be suspended immediately pending resolution. Stop the fraud, now. Indeed, the solving of illegal immigration will not happen overnight, but our president must obey all law including Article 4, Section 4 of the Constitution. It is the responsibility of the president to secure America’s borders. Take back America 2012.
