Enough is enough in the Golden State. Vote NO for any tax increase

Jul 22, 2012 — Roger Gitlin

Two ballot measures face California voters this November. The State is AGAIN, short of funds so the Democrats in control, including Gov.  Jerry Brown see the only answer is to raise the sales tax by ½ % and surcharge the income tax on the so-called wealthy. I hope you will vote NO on each of these November ballot issues. Enough is enough.

A decade since Dave left us

imageI will always be painfully honest, work as hard as I can, learn as much as I can, and hopefully make a difference in people’s lives- Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff David William March.

I met Dave while he in the Sheriff’s Academy in 1995. I was awe struck by this tall, handsome individual cut from an equally striking March family.  Dave projected success from head to toe.

Did you read about Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) expressing his righteous indignation by the wanton and obscene spending by the General Services Agency? This latest scandal in the Obama House is an $822,000 spend-fest orgy masquerading as a “training exercise” in Las Vegas?

Sir Isaac Newtron: What goes up must come down

Iran will learn soon the resolve of Israel. The Jewish state does not bluff

Mar 22, 2012 — Roger Gitlin

The Alaska-sized Islamic Republic is not going to stop its efforts in building a nuclear bomb. Despite anything this regime states or promises, know this for certain: these Islamic fanatics will not give up endeavors to become nuclear. Observe its behavior and you will realize when this belligerent, outcast nation speaks its words; one need not even bother to listen. Just watch Iran’s actions.

Israeli Security: Second to None

Mar 17, 2012 — Roger Gitlin

The United States could take a lesson or two from Israel on securing its borders.  America should take a long, hard gander at the Jewish state if America wants to truly secure its southern border.

Politicians:  Will either Save or Doom America. It’s up to you!

Feb 9, 2012 — Roger Gitlin

I have a love / hate relationship with politicians.

On one hand, I admire so the elected official who speaks his mind, answers questions directly and honestly, and leads rather than follows the voter. These men and woman who choose to dedicate their lives in public service have my complete respect and will absolutely be the saviors of our great Nation.

What would Alexis de Tocqueville think of President Barack Hussein Obama and modern America 2012

Feb 5, 2012 — Roger Gitlin

Alexis de Tocqueville was a French philosopher / writer who fell passionately in love with America in 1830.  De Tocqueville, a member of the privileged Norman class of old France, spent two years exploring and researching the great American experiment of the 19th century. He was so smitten with America he wrote a brilliant two volume essay in 1835 entitled Democracy in America. The book is in every university and college library of America.

California Governor Jerry Brown is attempting to pull yet another heist on the Golden State’s citizens by attempting to add a ½ sales tax increase and a surcharge of so-called wealthy income earners in the State. Both referenda are slated to be on the November ballot.  This Chief-of State believes to his core the only way to save California from yet another fiscal calamity is to tax, tax, and tax.  Brown promises dire cuts to education, corrections, and fire safety if he doesn’t get his taxes passed. The current deficit is $9.2 billion and growing.  There is no pivot in Governor Brown’s gait.

Does the Obama re-election campaign have $1billion war chest?

Jan 24, 2012 — Roger Gitlin

In a word, yes!

“We don’t have a $billion war chest.” Another lie from the Obama enterprise.  The disclaimer is made by Obama parrot, Jim Messina, campaign manager for Obama America, the primary strut on the Obama wheel to re-elect arguably the worst president in American history.

It was a solar eclipse moment

Here it comes more taxes needed in the Golden State

Jan 19, 2012 — Roger Gitlin

Here it comes… Democrat Governor Jerry Brown of California winds and throws his first pitch to the plate. In baseball parlance, it’s a wild pitch! Brown has proposed sweeping new taxes to “rescue” the Golden State from a financial black hole so deep, it defies the imagination. The financial gap from income to outflow exceeds $8 Billion.  On a temporary basis, the Governor hopes voters will sign off on a November referendum to add a ½ cent increase on the already lofty 8.75% sales tax and to raise the highest levels of State income tax to extract more money from the so-called rich.

President Barack Hussein Obama…Shalom, Come to Israel

Jan 13, 2012 — Roger Gitlin

President Barack H. Obama
The White House
Washington, DC
re: come to Israel with us

Dear President Obama:
I invite you,  Michelle,  and the children to join my wife and I as we travel to Israel in February. I know this is short notice but I am hopeful you can adjust your very busy schedule and make your first trip to the Jewish state as president of the United States. President Obama, we can experience together the cradle of civilization where the cultures of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam emerged. I realize I may not have been very kind to you in past commentaries I have written on your presidency, but I hope you will find forgiveness in your heart, and you and I can “bury the hatchet.” After all, we do share one very important item in common: we both love our country.

The State of California’s assault on family values continues into 2012

Jan 8, 2012 — Roger Gitlin

On the heels of passing scores of new absurd laws many dealing with lesbian, homosexual, bi-sexual, and transgender education in K-12 Social Science curricula,  lawmakers in the Democratic-controlled Golden State have amended an existing bill that is so outrageous, so appalling,  it humbles even the most tolerant of us.
