Louisiana Right to Life is devastated by reports that a 17-year-old Carencro girl was given abortion drugs against her will, resulting in the premature delivery of her child at just 23 weeks gestation. The baby was born alive weighing approximately one pound and remains hospitalized, requiring extensive medical care.
Erica Inzina, J.D., Policy Director for Louisiana Right to Life, issued the following statement:
“Our hearts break for this young mother and her baby. This 17-year-old girl was allegedly poisoned with abortion drugs by her own father, a shocking violation of her dignity and her right to protect both herself and her unborn child.
This tragedy reinforces a crisis in our state and nation that the abortion industry and its allies would rather ignore: abortion drugs are being used as a weapon against women and girls. When these substances are freely available and deliberately detached from medical oversight, they become tools for abusers, traffickers, and predators seeking to exert control over the vulnerable. ---More...
National Pro-Life Group Calls on DOJ to Settle Abortion Drug Lawsuit
The State of Louisiana and abortion drug coercion survivor Rosalie Markezich have filed their latest brief requesting expedited review from the 5th Circuit in their ongoing lawsuit against the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for removing in-person guardrails on dangerous abortion drugs.
SBA Pro-Life America called on the Department of Justice to bring a swift end to the lawsuit in a statement:
“We urge acting Attorney General Todd Blanche to settle this case by agreeing to a court-ordered consent decree that would end Biden’s unlawful mail-order abortion drug policy and restore in-person dispensing immediately while the FDA completes a prompt, rigorous safety review,” said SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser. ---More...
Congress Urged to Defund Planned Parenthood Before July 4 Deadline
With a July 5 congressional deadline, advocates seeking to defund Planned Parenthood are intensifying their efforts with new research highlighting concerns over the organization’s funding, patient safety record, and involvement in sex-rejecting interventions.
The American College of Pediatricians (ACP) and American Principles Project (APP) recently released a fact sheet calling on Congress to end federal funding for Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider. The report argues that taxpayers should not subsidize an organization that performs abortions, promotes gender ideology to children, and faces ongoing criticism over patient care practices.
“This resource provides important facts and information on Planned
Parenthood as a leading provider of sex-rejecting interventions, a
primary distributor of gender ideology sex education, and a serious
threat to patient safety,” the organizations stated in a press release
accompanying the report. ---More...
Man Sentenced to 7 Years in Prison for Killing Woman’s Baby With Abortion Drug
An Illinois man has been sentenced to seven years in prison after pleading guilty in a case involving the nonconsensual administration of abortion drugs that resulted in the loss of an unborn child.
Emerson Evans, 32, of Normal, Illinois, pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter of an unborn child as part of an agreement with prosecutors. According to court records, Evans was accused of administering abortion drugs to his pregnant girlfriend without her knowledge or consent, causing a miscarriage.
The case is among a growing number of reported incidents nationwide involving abortion drugs allegedly being used against women without their consent. As abortion drugs have become increasingly available through online distribution, mail-order services, and other channels, reports of coercion, deception, and criminal misuse have continued to emerge, prompting efforts to document and track such cases. ---More...
They Want to Start Euthanizing Mentally Ill People
The death lobby sells the concept of giving doctors the right to kill their patients (euthanasia or assisted suicide) by assuring legislators that the killing will be limited to rare circumstances.
In Canada, the death lobby argued that medical homicide would be limited to terminally ill people who are fully competent, freely choosing and suffering. The original Canadian euthanasia law claimed to have “tight” safeguards that including a restriction based on having a “terminal” condition.
The reality was that the Canadian law lacked effective definition. Therefore, from the beginning it was designed to quickly expand from killing the few to killing the many. ---More...
