Financial raping of the American taxpayer by unions for the union leadership oversight of their respective retirement plans

The Arrogance of Union ‘Leadership!’

In addition to the Czars, Communists, Socialists and pathological political junkies within the BHO regime, union leadership has benefited greatly from their access to this White House in ways never seen before in our country.

While I have had family members and friends who have been, or are members of a union, I have always been an independent thinker. Many employers are jerks at best, and abuses drove union growth, but how many union heads are just as big a problem as the jerk employers? In fact, can those who head up unions really allow for harmony between employers and union members? Doesn’t their power and income depend upon friction between the two camps so that there is a need for their ‘intervention?’ Looking at unions from the outside, does arrogant union management represent all of the rank-&-file, or does it focus primarily upon themselves and those who seek to game the system, mini-Madoffs? I’m an unabashed Catholic, an anathema to some, a puzzle to others, but according to MT – 16:18, a member of the Church that Jesus Christ founded upon his rock, Peter. In order to be a Catholic in good standing, each Catholic must adhere to five (5) non-negotiable ‘social’ issues. Speaking for Catholic union members, there appears to be serious, even grievous conflicts between our faith and virtually all unions’ agendas. This prompts the following questions:
  • Are there any independent thinkers inside the SEIU, the NEA, the Teamsters, etc., or are all union members just jack-booted zombies?
  • Does any union member question the outrageously arrogant positions taken by union management?
  • How can you justify many unions’ links to the mob?
  • How can you justify the support of numerous hazards inside Stealth-Care and government funding of abortion?
  • How many in union leadership and the rank-&-file, with their position on social issues, are in direct conflict with their individual faith’s canons?
  • Does anyone in union leadership realize or care that their actions are placing their members’ and their souls in very vexing, contrary positions?
  • Do any union members object to their union dues being spent for an agenda that is in open defiance to their faith and their individual beliefs?
  • If there are union men and women with morals, principles, and spines, how long are you going to lamely submit to being held hostage to the arrogance of your union leadership?
If you’ll notice, none of these questions addresses the financial raping of the American taxpayer by unions for the union leadership oversight of their respective retirement plans. If union leadership is so great, why the pillaging of taxpayers to shore up union retirement plans? Isn’t union leadership a microcosm of our elected Federal government? Don’t both institutions play ‘divide & conquer’ as a means of control, and to advance their selfish agendas? Doesn’t each institution make the rules for all, but exempt themselves from many of the rules they impose upon the rank-&-file? Ultimately, which is of greater importance to you, slavish subservience to the arrogance of union leadership, or your chosen faith and eternal salvation? By taking control of our faith lives, we can take the first step in re-inviting Christ’s grace and bounty upon us. We have over two weeks to become familiar with our individual church’s canons, the issues and the candidates’ stands on the issues. To do anything less subjects us, and our nation, to the same fate suffered by other leading civilizations on the trash-heap of history.
