The Bank of Canada is back buying government debt, printing money with a keyboard stroke, crediting Ottawa’s account, and calling it normal.
Except it isn’t normal. It wasn’t normal in 2020.
And it’s definitely not normal now with an $80B deficit and a government desperate for cash.
