The EU threatens Israel with sanctions for Jewish prayer in Temple Mount

Today, Commentary Magazine commented on a Haaretz report that the Europeans have already determined what the outcome of negotiations should be and determined that Israel should be punished with boycotts, sanctions and diplomatic isolation if it did not respect the red lines that the Europeans established:
"Haaretz reports that the European Union is...advocating religious and ethnic apartheid against Jews in Jerusalem. The paper has obtained an internal EU document that purports to suggest opening negotiations with Israel over reducing Jewish rights in the Jewish state. I wrote nearly two years ago that the emergence of the EU’s “red lines” are incompatible with Israel’s red lines, and thus the relationship between Israel and the increasingly antidemocratic EU would only continue to deteriorate. The Haaretz report is late to this notion, but confirms the prediction: "The two-page document defines several of the EU’s “red lines” regarding Israeli actions in the West Bank:

  1. Construction in the Givat Hamatos neighborhood, beyond the Green Line in Jerusalem. …
  2. Construction in the E1 area between Ma’aleh Adumim and Jerusalem. …
  3. Further construction in the Har Homa neighborhood in Jerusalem, beyond the Green Line.
  4. Israeli plans to relocate 12,000 Bedouin without their consent in a new town in the Jordan Valley, expelling them from lands in the West Bank, including E1. …
  5. Harming the status-quo at the Temple Mount: The document said that attempts to challenge the status-quo have led to instability in East Jerusalem and increased tensions."
The Europeans' red lines are racist and insulting; racist because they threaten to punish Israel if Jews build houses in East Jerusalem. Arabs build 3 times more houses in Israel than Jews build in the West Bank, if it would be racist for Israel to forbid Arabs to live in Israel, it is also racist to forbid Jews to live in East Jerusalem or the West Bank. Jews used to live in East Jerusalem and the West Bank until they were expelled by British General Glubb and the Jordanian Arab Legion in 1948. It is also insulting in the European red lines the demand not to change the status quo in Temple Mount. The status quo in Temple Mount is racist because only Muslims are allowed to pray there. Jews are not allowed to pray in Temple Mount despite the fact that there is enough open space in Temple Mount for Jews to pray without disturbing the mosques there. The European threat that Israel will suffer sanctions and boycotts if Jews are allowed to pray in Temple Mount would be the same that threatening Italy with boycotts and sanctions if Catholics pray in the Vatican. (It is important to remember that Temple Mount is the holiest site for Judaism, the holiest site for Islam is Mecca in Saudi Arabia. Jews worldwide pray facing Temple Mount, Muslims worldwide pray facing Mecca and when they are in Temple Mount they turn their backs to the Mosque to face Mecca.) If sanctions and boycotts are going to be imposed on Israel if Jews pray in Temple Mount why wouldn't sanctions and boycotts be imposed in Turkey for forbidding Christians to pray in Hagia Sophia, one of the holiest churches for Orthodox Christianity in Constantinople, which was converted into a mosque and then into a museum where Christians are forbidden to pray. The Europeans have basically changed their role from mediators in the peace process to judges. In the European court Israel was declared the criminal and the Palestinians are the victims. The outcome of the trial has already been determined: The Jews are guilty of stealing Palestinian land. The punishment has been determined; the Jews will suffer boycotts, sanctions and diplomatic isolation and the threat of a nuclear Iran if they don't give the land stolen back to the Palestinians. That is why the Europeans are allowing Iran to build nuclear weapons, a key part of their strategy of imposing their rule over Israel is by threatening Israel with Iranian nuclear weapons if they refuse to give the West Bank and East Jerusalem (including Temple Mount) to the Arabs. Of course in this case the Judges are wrong because the land was not stolen from the Palestinians because it never belonged to them to begin with. The land was part of the Ottoman Empire, after WWI the British had a temporary Mandate over the land. In 1921 the British gave part of the land to the Arabs inventing the Arab Monarchy of Jordan. In 1948 when the British Mandate ended the British General Glubb led the Jordanian Arab Legion to take over the West Bank and East Jerusalem expelling all Jews. The land that the European judges now ruled that Israel stole was not stolen at all, it never belonged to the Palestinians to begin with. The territories are disputed, not occupied but the Europeans have decided that they have the authority to treat Israel as a criminal. Who gave the authority to the Europeans to judge Israel? The Israeli left. It is because of the Israeli left that the Europeans feel assured that they will not be criticized for their biased support of the Arabs against the Jewish State. In 2007, Haaretz chief Editor Landau told U.S. Secretary of State to "rape" Israel. "The comments were made during a confidential briefing by Rice on September 10, during one of many visits to the Jewish state. The meeting was attended by about 20 heads of the most senior Israeli think tanks and media leaders, including Landau, at the residence of US Ambassador Richard Jones. Some reported that Landau's remarks were greeted with "blatant discomfort" by some of those present. Following the briefing, those present at the dinner offered their views and comments on the state of affairs in the Middle East. Landau, who was seated next to Rice, referred to Israel as a “failed state” politically, and said that a US-imposed settlement is the only thing that can save it. He asked Rice to intervene, going so far as to say that the Israeli government wanted “to be raped” and that it would bring him much satisfaction to see this happen." The enemies of Israel including Europe took note of Landau's advice and that is exactly what they are doing now. By imposing red lines on Israel they are raping Israel, Landau is probably enjoying "much satisfaction" as he said he would. If Israel does not obey Europe's red lines, the Europeans will increase diplomatic pressure, sanctions and boycotts on Israel. The left wing Israelis and the Arab Israelis will start taking the streets and doing protests against the government. If the protests, diplomatic pressure, and boycotts are not enough to force Israel from the West Bank and East Jerusalem (including Temple Mount), then the European last resource is allowing Iran to use the threat of nuclear weapons. Iran, the Europeans, the Israeli Arabs and the Israeli Left are as much enemies of Israel as the Palestinians. How can Israel defend itself against all these enemies? Each enemy requires specific measures.
  1. Iranian nuclear program: Israel will have to act alone before it's too late
  2. Europe: Israel must forbid European funded NGOs (such as Peace Now and Betselem) to operate in Israel. These NGOs are not democratic because they are funded with foreign money. Only NGOs funded with Israeli funds should be allowed to operate in Israel
  3. The Israeli Left and the Israeli Arabs: There must be a loyalty test for all Israeli Citizens.
There are more Muslims in Israel than there are in the West Bank, Israeli Arabs have as much claim for the Al-Aqsa Mosque as the Palestinians. Israeli Arabs should be proud that Al-Aqsa is in Israel. The Loyalty test for Israeli Arabs should be "Are you proud that Al-Aqsa is in Israel?" if they say "no" it means they are more loyal to Palestine than to Israel, they can continue living as residents in Israel but they should become Palestinian or Jordanian Citizens. For the Israeli Jews the Loyalty test should be "Are you proud that Temple Mount is in Israel?" If they say "no", they can continue living in Israel as residents but they lose their right to vote in Israel. No Jew in the world would deny their love for Temple Mount, and if somebody says he is not proud Temple Mount is in Israel he should not have the right to vote in Israel. The Europeans only have power over Israel because of the Israeli left. In order to survive, Israel will have to redefine what it means to be an Israeli Citizen.
