The Failed Assassination Attempt on Donald Trump Last Night

Many of us expected it was going to happen: An assassination attempt on Donald J. Trump before the November 5th U.S. presidential election, including Canada Free Press (CFP) senior columnists David Merrick, Kelly O’Connell, Lee Cary and others.

But Brian and I never thought we’d ever see it happening live in real time when we logged on to CFP’s front page to watch Trump’s rally in Butler, Pa, within minutes of the start of Trump’s speech to a massive crowd at the Butler rally. Hearing gun shots, and seeing the president and front runner in the 2024 election race suddenly touching his bloodied right ear before dropping to the ground, is a memory that will last a life time.

Secret Service agents (God Bless them) moved very quickly to cover MAGA’s beloved leader with their bodies to protect him from further attack.

It turned out to be a nightmare taking place before our very eyes.

What happened last night is a wake-up call of just how radically America has changed with so many worrying if it can ever be brought back to what it was before Barack Obama came to fundamentally transform it.

Seeing Trump standing there with blood from his ear running down his face was a stark reminder that his life is at risk all for his loving America.

The former president said on Truth Social hours after the incident that "I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear."

"I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania. Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured," Trump wrote.

"It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead," he added.

"I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin. Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"

We know at heart that desperate Dems will be filling the mainstream and social media with accusations that Trump brought it on himself.

Reporters have already been put on notice how to report on the horrific assassination attempt:

Simone Gold was in Times Square in NYC. She said not a single news monitor reported on the assassination attempt. She posted the video on X. Not a single screen reported an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate.

Instructions to reporters:

Trump, hustled off the stage by Secret Service agents and taken to a hospital by helicopter, was attacked just two days before the Milwaukee Republican National Convention, where media claim thousands of protestors are expected to turn out.

The timing of this assassination attempt comes with a chilling message: Dark forces will do anything to stop Trump’s presumed Nov. 5 Election—even kill him.

Incredibly President Joe Biden, who only days ago was talking about it now being time to target Trump, sent a message last night, saying: “Look, there’s no place in America for this kind of violence. It’s sick. It’s sick. It’s one of the reasons why we have to unite this country. We cannot allow for this to be happening. We cannot be like this. We cannot condone this.” (NY Post, July 13, 2024)

Thankfully hope came with a one-on-one conversation between Donald Trump and Donald Trump Jr:

“Donald Trump Jr. revealed that his father, former President Trump, is in the hospital following shots being fired at his Pennsylvania rally on Saturday evening, but is in "great spirits." (Fox News, July 13, 2024)

"I just spoke to my father on the phone and he is in great spirits.” ”He will never stop fighting to save America, no matter what the radical left throws at him."

Only God knows what’s coming our way over the next weeks or months, but we can take comfort in knowing that last night in Butler, Pennsylvania, God’s angels were riding on Donald Trump’s shoulders.
