For those not born or too young to remember, the swift and unexpected fall of Kabul and the hasty evacuation of Americans from the American embassy in Kabul remind me of the also tragic 1975 fall of Saigon to the North Vietnamese and the hasty exit of Americans by helicopter from the American embassy in Saigon, South Vietnam.
That 1975 image of Americans desperately climbing on the American helicopter (see photo) represented the failure and weakness of America in Southeast Asia and in the world. The rapid failure of the Afghan Army and the rapid success of the Taliban and the equally hasty retreat and evacuation of American embassy staff (see photo) represent the failure of America in Afghanistan and the utter failure of Biden and his administration in planning and properly executing the withdrawal of Americans and Afghan American allies from this war-torn region.

In July, just a few weeks ago, Biden promised and predicted that America's withdrawal from Afghanistan would not be a replay of the fall of Saigon of 1975. Biden claimed that the Afghan forces of 300,000 were battle-ready and tough and could withstand any Taliban offensive. Was Biden ever wrong! The corrupt Afghan forces collapsed within a week. Biden owns this embarrassing and tragic debacle. Many American lives and the lives of American allies in Afghanistan will be lost because Biden had no real plan or process for getting these Americans and allies out of Afghanistan.
We on the right warned you that Biden was a weak, incompetent, old, demented fool. Biden's domestic policies have been disastrous. His open borders policies have seen hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens pouring into American spreading Covid infections. His anti-oil policies have turned an energy independent country into a weak country begging OPEC and Russia to produce more oil for America's energy needs. His anti-police policies have produced soaring crime in most American cities. His over the top government spending has led to raging inflation, which hurts mostly the working and middle classes. Now Biden owns the worst foreign policy disaster in decades as Afghanistan becomes the centre of Islamic power and a haven for al Qaeda and other terrorist groups.
When Trump was president, there was peace in the Mideast. ISIS had been defeated. The economy was booming, pre-pandemic. US was energy independent. Inflation was in check. Unemployment was down and incomes across the board were rising.
So you did not like Trump's tweets. Trump's domestic and foreign policies were successful and America was feared and respected for its power and influence. Now Americans are struggling domestically and Americans and American allies are fleeing for their lives.
Biden is a pathetic and weak joke.
