Remember Solyndra? The defunct solar company that was at the heart of the green energy subsidy scandal? Well, things have been pretty quiet of late surrounding the green movement.
The latest news is worth noting, however, lest we forget the folly of the subsidies.
The Department of Energy's Inspector General has completed a 4 year investigation and concluded that Solyndra misrepresented facts in order to secure the loan. He also found that the Dept. of Energy failed to do due diligence in checking those facts.
It is also worthy of notice that one of the main investors in Solyndra was also a heavy donor to the Obama campaign and made many visits to the White House. No matter how you slice it, the entire incident stinks.
When a business receives government subsidies, the possibility for mischief is endless.
