The John Galt Solution

In my CFP article Who is John Galt (October 8, 2021) I completed a comparison of our modern day America and the America of Ayn Rand’s Atlas Shrugged. It is spooky how much of a parallel there is. In her book, Rand basically outline a solution—the John Galt solution.

In the spirit of the Declaration of Independence, the time has come to acknowledge that the government of the United States of America has collapsed, and to do something about it. It is now a bureaucracy far too big to be adequately controlled under the U.S. Constitution as designed by the Founding Fathers.

In Rand’s novel, John Galt leads a bloodless revolution where the nation’s most productive people simply quit

It has been corrupted beyond repair because there are not nearly enough virtuous people in government to make it work. No one outside the White House has any idea who is controlling the Biden Administration except we know it isn’t Joe Biden. The last nail in the coffin was the failure of the United States Supreme Court to uphold the Constitution after the clearly corrupt November 2020 national election.

In Rand’s novel, John Galt leads a bloodless revolution where the nation’s most productive people simply quit. They quit producing, and as a result they quit funding the system that was trying to destroy them and take everything they had. The John Galt solution was to simply allow the corrupt government to run out of other people’s money and let the natural course of things occur.

The beauty of the John Galt solution is that there is no need to force your will on the corrupt government, their leaders, their minions, and their funders. Force leads to bloodshed, and there is no need for bloodshed. The John Galt solution would be a terribly painful for much of the population, but not nearly a painful as a shooting war.

History demonstrates that this has never worked, and it never will. Now is the time to start considering a fall back plan if patriotic, constitutionalists fail to reclaim the whole legislature which is exactly what happened on November 8, 2020.

The time may soon come for the citizens of the many states that are now subjects of the tyranny perpetrated by the out of control, bought and paid for, United States government under Joe Biden to form a new coalition of states to nullify the actions and authority of the current United States Federal Government. Leave the geographical states or subdivisions thereof that are willing to remain subjects of the Biden régime to their own devices and handle the debts they have created. Leave them their unmanageable tons and tons of federal regulations that over regulate nearly every aspect of life in America, a modern twist on the John Galt solution.

Eight years of Obama and four years of Biden have graphically proven Rand’s assertion

The new coalition only need start with the enforcement of the United States Constitution and return power to the individual states and the people to function as designed by the Founding Fathers.

The tyranny of the majority in small concentrated geographical areas of America, has overpowered the overwhelmingly large geographical minority. That is exactly what the Founding Fathers designed the Constitution to try to prevent. This majority of America’s population has little financial stake in America and votes based on what the politicians promise to give them. The takers outnumber the providers, and left uncorrected, the system can only fail. In 2023, it is doing exactly that. The population centers, where the majority of the population resides, makes up but a small portion of the total United States land mass.

The end result will be a new coalition of states where traditional American values of God and country will be restored

“It’s impossible to return power to the states,” you might say. All that is needed is for voters in the willing states to say, “We are mad as hell and we aren’t going to take this anymore,” and then direct their state government to reclaim the authority usurped by the federal government in the last 60 years. This type of movement doesn’t need anyone’s permission except the permission of the governed. Simply refuse to play the game by Washington’s rules anymore. Reassume state’s rights as defined in the Constitution and deny the federal government authority beyond those enumerated powers in the United States Constitution.

The end result will be a new coalition of states where traditional American values of God and country will be restored, and the tyranny of Marxist Democrats will be limited. Those living within the new coalition will live a better life, and many of those states that initially reject the new coalition will see the difference and realize Marxism is the failure it has always been.

This is an opportunity to just say NO to the tyranny of Washington, DC. Refusing to accept rule under a corrupt government can be a quiet revolt without having to resort to an armed conflict. The current Marxist Democrat government is so incompetent they will have no idea how to handle this situation.

This is a 2023 version of the John Galt solution. Stop enabling the government that is focused on the destruction of the American Republic given us by the Founding Fathers. Allow that corrupt government to collapse under the weight of its own bad ideas, debt, and massive bureaucracy. The arrogant fools in the government think they are so smart they can make what has never worked in the world work.

Many patriots have put all their hopes on a Convention of States (COS), as provided in Article V of the U.S. Constitution. In the 10 years this effort has been in process, the 19^th state signed on in March of 2022; that’s 51% of what is needed. (For more details see COS Reality or Pipe Dream, December 13, 2023) Will the America Republic survive long enough to sign on the 18 states still needed? Worse yet, the majority of the United States population live in the states that most likely will not participate in a COS.

Will the republic known as the United States of America survive the 2024 presidential election? Will there even be a 2024 election? If the various Trump prosecutions fail, will the corrupt Marxist swamp creatures allow Trump to live to see the election? These are ugly questions, but these questions must be asked considering the new revelations surfacing concerning the Kennedy assassination.

These 19 COS states are the perfect nucleus to grow a modern John Galt solution.

Whose words are better to consider in these trying times than those of John F. Kennedy?
