The Left Takeover Of Sports

Starting in 2003, we were the only ministry protesting the International Olympic Committee for allowing transgenders in the Olympics. At that time, we did not contact the media. I would shout it from the housetops now, but did not do that back then. As we called the United States Olympic Committee and the IOC members, we wanted to let them know we were upset. We never thought we would now be the only ones in sports publicly standing against the IOC, USOC, NCAA, NFL, NBA, MLB, and every sports organization that promotes left wing causes.

Sports has become a vehicle that left wing politicians use to get their message out. During the 2016 Olympics in Rio, NBC promoted homosexuality. They ran a Nike ad promoting Chris Mosier, a transgender who was not even in the Olympics. NBC had cross dresser Johnny Weir covering fashion. NBC covered lesbians getting engaged. According to Runner’s World, all medal winners in the women’s 800 meters were intersex athletes without testosterone tests. Though different from transgenders, these athletes were not playing fairly. The women behind them were devastated. After 2003, the transgender movement spread to state high school associations. Now, any person in the USA can compete on any team, no matter what sex they were born with. If you do not want to use the locker room with a boy pretending to be a girl, then you are a bigot. In Virginia, Minnesota, a boy decided to use the locker room. Parents eventually sued the school district as the girls did not like the lewd dances between the sporting activities. North Carolina passed a bill saying that transgenders cannot use the bathroom with your kids. Texas recently did the same. In response to the North Carolina bill, the NCAA removed their championships from the state.

Result, North Carolina’s Duke had to play South Carolina in South Carolina. Duke lost their home field advantage and lost. They are out of the NCAA Basketball Championships. The NFL, NBA, and MLB continually threaten North Carolina and Texas over future events. Already, North Carolina lost the 2017 NBA All-Star game. Football rich Texas will lose future Super Bowls. Sports set the stage for pushing the LGBT agenda. President Obama told high schools they must allow all sexes in any locker room throughout the nation. Recently, President Trump reversed this. Then the Supreme Court decided not to rule on a case where a girl wanted to use the boy’s bathroom on the east coast. Liberals say that Title IX, created in 1972 to equal the playing field for women, should cover transgenders. However, this bill had nothing to do with transgenders.

The tide is against Christians. Immorality is increasing at a great rate. It is not about going back in time, but to uphold biblical values that are timeless

The upcoming Olympics in 2020 is on the horizon. Already, you have transgender athletes preparing. In New Zealand, a male athlete who thinks he is a woman is dominating women in weightlifting. A male volleyball player in Hawaii now competes as a woman with the Olympics as a goal. How do we reverse this nonsense even though the Supreme Court has approved gay marriage? The tide is against Christians. Immorality is increasing at a great rate. It is not about going back in time, but to uphold biblical values that are timeless. Committed Christians are in minority status which may never change. We need to be like the Old Testament prophets and the New Testament apostles. They preached the truth without regard to the consequences. Christians do not need to retreat like many are now proclaiming, but need to be active. In the book of Acts, the apostle Paul used the courts as a Roman citizen to prolong his eventual martyrdom. By using the courts, Paul helped establish the church. Christians need to preach the truth, using all moral means to do so. We need to stand up for Christian freedoms, the freedom of speech and religion. We pray that God would watch over His watchmen.
