The Marxist Roots of Obama’s Rage II

Thank you for the well-done articles on Obama; I have followed the different, recent conservative comments about Obama with some interest. I suspect we are alike in that we both saw the danger in this man very early on. I did, for any number of reasons – I did my due diligence and researched him thoroughly, I am a ardent conservative and constitutionalist, and I am a trained historian well acquainted with the milieu from which Obama comes.

I read D’Souza’s book, and agree with your comments. He is placing entirely too much stock in his anti-colonial thesis, and using it as a single-factor explanation. Those kinds of narratives almost always break down at some point, because reality is multi-dimensional in nature. One-size-fits-all theories do not describe reality accurately. I admire D’Souza a great deal, but it seems clear to me that he – at least to some degree – has bought into the carefully constructed mythology surrounding Obama and his origins. He takes both of Obama’s books entirely at face value, for example – which I think is extremely naïve. He rejects, for example, the now well-researched and supported (thanks to Dr. Jack Cashill) notion that Ayers ghost-wrote both books. It may be understandable – given D’Souza’s somewhat similar origins and life circumstances to those of Obama – that he sympathizes with him, but it is a dangerous blind spot on his part, one of which I am not sure he is aware. I am especially impressed by your comment, “All of this should have been reviewed by the FBI. But the loophole in our system is that a candidate for elected federal office, such as the presidency, can avoid a background check by law enforcement authorities. On the other hand, employees who work for the president are supposed to undergo background checks. Former FBI agent Max Noel has said that the Bureau used to conduct background investigations by analyzing the factors enveloped under the acronym CARL—for Character, Associates, Reputation, and Loyalties. How would Obama have fared under such scrutiny?” I have been making much the same point for 2 years now. It is a serious loophole in our system that such an obscure politician, and committed radical – a man who hates America and the free western world - can ascend to the White House without being vetted for national security purposes in some manner, even informally. I am not an attorney, so will leave discussion of the constitutionality of such measures to others. However, it is simply a fact that Obama could not have passed the background check required to become a police or military officer, let alone a member of his own Secret Service detail, FBI or CIA. His radical past would have blown him out of the water, based on Ayers alone. Back in the old days, when we could assume correctly that our federal law enforcement agencies were patriotic and devoted foremost to the security of America and not political infighting or ideological battles within their ranks, an investigation of Obama would have been done – albeit informally. Now, however, that is not the case. No one in either party, of whom I am aware, or for that matter, the Bush White House, Congress or the Supreme Court, held up a hand and so much as said “Wait a minute, something’s not right here; we need to investigate this man.” No one wanted to be accused of disrupting the good feelings of our first “minority” president, or risk being called a racist. The leftist press failed to do its duty as the fourth estate, and all but cheered him on as he defrauded voters and collected millions in illegal campaign contributions from abroad, and committed other crimes large and small. Obama got handed the keys to the most powerful arsenal in human history – including our nuclear launch codes – and we didn’t even know the first thing about him! The man is a cipher, a carefully constructed Trojan Horse designed to penetrate our defenses. And he and his gang of criminals have done so. Was I – am I - the only one concerned about any of this? That’s why I was so happy to read your columns. Well, all I can see is “I didn’t vote for him, and have seen through him from the first,” but that is a small comfort to me - as we watch this feckless and angry man do his best to dismantle the USA. I am especially disappointed in our Congress, the Supreme Court, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff, all of whom have failed the test of leadership and in their sacred duty to defend our constitution. The issue of Obama’s status as a legal CIC was/is very much in doubt, but not one general/flag-rank officer on the JCS took a stand for the record and demanded public, official clarification of just who and what Obama is, before carrying out his orders. Some retired officers have risen to the challenge, which heartens me, and there are a number of mid-level officers – such as Col. Terry Lakin, M.D., who have summoned the courage to do what their superiors have not. But the silence from official Washington is very troubling indeed. I am not normally one who subscribes to conspiracy theories, because most of the time large-scale conspiracies are too tough to pull off. There is too much that needs to be kept secret, too many ways the truth can get out. But in the strange case of Obama, I am prepared to make an exception. The truth will eventually come out, and when it does, it will be one of the biggest scandals in American history and will make Watergate look like a picnic. That’s my view. Obama had someone behind the scenes – someone very wealthy and powerful - driving his improbable rise. My guess is probably a wealthy member of the Saudi Royal family, but perhaps Soros and some others were involved also. There is also the phenomenon of the Black Swan. Obama may well be a political Black Swan, so to speak. Time will tell, as it always does. You’ve probably figured it out by now, but I regard Obama and his gang of communist (pick your label; there are lots of choices) criminals as very dangerous to America and the free world. If and when the GOP regains control of Congress, it had better impeach Obama – or we’re in for a rough ride the next two years. I’ve been on this earth too long, and been disappointed too many times in the self-serving behavior of politicians to get my hopes up, but perhaps common sense and decency will prevail for a change. Lord knows we are long-overdue. Thank you again for the columns, and keep fighting the good fight. Pete Farmer Elk Grove, IL USA
