The obviously phony “best buddy” routine

I find it very, very hard to swallow the notion that Pres. Bill Clinton supports Barack Obama. He is a Rhodes Scholar, who based his presidency and his policies on working with both parties and on not providing welfare without responsibility. He worked with House Majority leader Newt Gingrich to formulate policies which everyone could support to some degree.

Now he is out stumping for a man who is the exact opposite of himself and who has undermined much of the progress Clinton made. I have to wonder why? What political cache is in it for Hillary via his support of Obama? What backroom deals have been forged to get Clinton to publicly support a man that he previously, clearly, didn't like. With the obviously phony "best buddy" routine, it is no wonder the American people are confused and skeptical. It's too bad. Is there no one out there who has the courage of their convictions? Clinton sure has disappointed a lot of people on this one. Sylvia E. Warren
