I wrote this for all the mothers who have lost a child in war or peacekeeping in our amrned forces. Roseanne Hamilton.
amid the war scarred amputees.
In Canada Remembrance Day
we listen to the piper play
The bugle sounds The Last Call
then silence descends over all.
Silver Cross Mother bravely stands
with wreath of poppies in her hands
She lays it for her son and others
on behalf of all our heroes mothers.
