The Sorry State of the Deep State

No two stories relating to President Donald Trump and FORMER President Barack Obama, coming almost back to back this weekend, ever conveyed in perfect terms, the sorry state of the Deep State.

Indeed, both stories coming as they did should go down as Sorry State of the Deep State 101.

In a brazenly bizarre but most telling demand, the 2018 MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference forced allegiance to sworn secrecy on all attendees of an Obama speech, which took place inside the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, on Friday.

.

That’s how Obama and powerful friends in the MIT Sports Analytics world throw up fences against the public ever finding out what’s going on as the nation makes its way to Midterm Elections.

There is no kid glove treatment providing secrecy for a beleaguered Donal Trump, but only the kind of massive leaking that comes from treachery at round-the-clock work.

“Tentative plans for Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto to make his first visit to the White House to meet with President Trump were scuttled this week after a testy call between the two leaders ended in an impasse over Trump’s promised border wall, according to U.S. and Mexican officials.” (Washington Post, Feb. 24, 2018)

Who spilled the beans on the impasse over Trump’s promised wall as if it were new news?

“Officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a confidential conversation,” according to WaPo.

Both the Obama and Trump story dropped on the masses this weekend have most interesting side notes:

For instance, the ESPN-sponsored MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference event described America’s 44th, who was to address a wide range of subjects in his talk, from his most memorable moments in the White House, to his post-presidency plans,  as “A lifelong sports fan and athlete”.

Come now, ladies and gents of the sporting world, where are the creds (March Madness Brackets notwithstanding)  that Obama is a “lifelong athlete”?

Millions can attest that hitting balls out on the links doesn’t automatically come with that “lifelong athlete” status.

Paramount to the testy call between Trump and Peña Nieto was that Trump (drum roll here, please) lost his temper.

How did we deplorable plebes get this invaluable information?

“One Mexican official said Trump “lost his temper.” (WaPo)

“But U.S. officials described him instead as being frustrated and exasperated, saying Trump believed it was unreasonable for Peña Nieto to expect him to back off his crowd-pleasing campaign promise of forcing Mexico to pay for the wall.

“Both accounts confirm it was Peña Nieto’s desire to avoid public embarrassment — and Trump’s unwillingness to provide that assurance — that proved to be the dealbreaker.”

Doesn’t a deal have to be in the offing for a “dealbreaker”?

There was never any deal when Nieto ever agreed that Mexico would pay for Trump’s Democrat and mainstream media-hated wall.

Here we have a major Sports Analytics Conference bending over backwards to keep everything Obama said secret, if not sacrosanct, and the Deep State throwing a sitting president to the wolves by leaking to the outside world, what was said in a private telephone conversation.

Other than making himself a legend in his own mind, why did Obama need secrecy about his ruminating about his most memorable moments in the White House, and post-presidency plans?

It was only days ago when Obama told one of the biggest lies of his career in an outrageously devious Tweet to the grief-stricken students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School:

Obama, the Resistance Leader,  never had students’ backs covered during the eight long years he was in office, and certainly doesn’t have them covered now as he foments for revolution from hiding

There’s no doubt that Obama was waiting for the students to hit the streets in a massive protest that will boost his Marxist cause.

But it’s a lie when he says: “We have your backs”.

Obama, the Resistance Leader,  never had students’ backs covered during the eight long years he was in office, and certainly doesn’t have them covered now as he foments for revolution from hiding.

Meanwhile, by hook or by crook, the Deep State seeks to steal the nation from its patriots, and that’s the Sorry State of the Deep State.
