The Unaccountable President

That the US Embassy raids in Libya were acts of terror was denied by the President as well as the Secretary of State.

Then when faced with irrefutable evidence, Obama said, “It is self-evident that this was terrorism”. Unsaid but implied is that we stupid Americans should be able to see this without him telling us. Actually, Mr. Obama, we did see it and we knew you were lying to us. So, don’t talk down to us now that you’ve been caught. Here’s the problem. We Americans are not holding this President accountable for his words or his actions. Neither is Congress, the Attorney General or the media. This President gets a free pass for missing intelligence briefings, ignoring security warnings, campaigning during times of attack on our Ambassador and then boldly lying to our faces. We are sheeple. Why aren’t we condemning the President’s irresponsible, self-serving behavior? Why isn’t Congress charging him with treason? Why is the media providing cover for him? As a country and as a people, we are stronger than this. We need to demand respect and honesty from our leaders. That won’t solve everything but it would be a start. The road to recovery begins with us-the people-taking the high road. We can’t get there with this President. Jack Eck
