The undermining of our liberties

The President very well may be correct, some of the practices that we are now up in arms about started before his administration and at least some were bi-partisan. The blame can be shared. But he misses the point. First, we learned as children, if someone else does it, doesn't mean you have to. This is especially true for this President who was elected on the promise of a better way. Second, had we been aware earlier, we would have been complaining long ago. Americans sense a complete and total invasion into their personal business. They see unfolding a government that disrespects the country they hold dear. They know that there are moves afoot to make us part of a world government that is dominated by Muslim leaders. What they do not see is any attempt by the administration to curtail any of the practices. In fact, we see a President who has allowed or encouraged the undermining of our liberties. What the President totally fails to acknowledge (or chooses to ignore) is that he has reneged on his promises of transparency and of change. Not just reneged, he lied to us in order to gain his position. I find myself wondering, what will it take for Americans to demand a stop to the madness? Michael Duke
