The whispers about Hillary Clinton's health are becoming louder and more persistent
After 8 years of a wet-behind-the-ears, inexperienced, egotistical 40 something President, our citizens on both sides of the aisle have thrown themselves behind more mature candidates. Both nominees are past social security age.
There's nothing wrong with that. People of that age have wisdom and experience only gained through years of living
So age comes off the table as an issue, but health must still be considered. If a candidate is in fragile health, the repercussions of that person stepping into the Presidency are huge. Most notably it affects the chain of command, who would be second and third in line. It affects our standing with other world leaders. It affects our vulnerability. It affects citizen confidence. It affects markets at home and abroad.
The whispers about Hillary Clinton's health are becoming louder and more persistent. And the idea of electing someone who may have or may soon have critical health problems is scary. Certainly, a comprehensive health screening of both candidates should be available to voters. Not the details necessarily due to HIPPA laws. But a "sound" or "unsound" diagnosis by impartial and highly qualified physicians who have access to the patient's history and who add to that their own exam and assessment.
