Intolerance, Racism

The White House

For some time now, I have been upset about something that seems to be unrecognized or avoided by the people with the power to fix the situation.

We have, after all, become a totally tolerant and politically correct society. We will not stand for any person, place or thing that might be considered racist or might violate someone's civil rights. Yet, right under our noses is one of the biggest offenders. I am referring to: "The White House". Surely, this reference to our Nation's capital cannot continue. Changing the name is problematic. The Brown House? No way. Yellow house? Still racist. The Green House? Too confusing. The People's House? It isn't. The Big House? Getting closer. Oh, well, there are plenty of people in Washington with the time to deal with this issue. After all, they aren't addressing the serious problems of our country. Jean Arcamone
