The worst is yet to come

U.S. economy

There is no equity in our homes, the credit cards are maxed out, and the savings are depleted.

At the same time, taxes are going up as are the cost of goods. Jobs are non-existent or it is taking 3 part-time jobs (with no benefits) to pay the bills. Yet there is scratching of the talking heads as they try to understand why we are not spending. Spending WHAT? The little that the government has left in our hands we will keep in our wallets because we know, even if they don't, that the worst is yet to come. The average American has no safety net left. They have no fall back position. They understand the situation. On the other hand, the news releases -- as they are in any dictatorship -- talk about how good things are and how much healthier the economy is becoming. To that, we say one thing, show me, don't tell me. I heard your words but I see no proof of them. Charity Eavey
