Donald Trump

Theater of the absurd

It has been the political career of this man to begin with hypocrisy, proceed with arrogance, and finish with contempt. -- Thomas Paine (1776) Politics, being the specific type of animal it is, attracts men (and women) of the above mentioned ilk. The advertisement is made describing a particular train of thought and that the person advertising is specifically cut from the whole cloth of truth. They’re patriotic. They’re steadfast. They live by principles and stand ready to sacrifice for the position.

In so many ways it’s been the history of the political realm to be populated by this type of person. They appear to be of one frame of mind when really self-serving. They’re specifically greedy for the profits to be garnered. The goal isn’t the service to be performed; it’s what gets them more and more power as time unfolds. So many times in the past I’ve been down this highway, trying to interpret and make people aware of what the roadside signs really mean. Now we’ve got Donald Trump parading his “political acumen” (?) across the landscape so as to appear the savior of the modern American. Where does this all come from if not a colossal level of hubris and indescribable amounts of gall put forth merely because they haven’t recognized even Alexander wept because there were no more worlds to conquer? It’s being spread all over the media that we’re involved in a crisis of ideology as to how we can best end our national economic woes. Do we raise the “debt ceiling”? Or, do we delay the alleged inevitability of this act to show the powers wanting to be, they can’t always get their way with the country’s economic engine. We need a re-build of this aged form of fiscal propulsion. We don’t need more of the same old duct-tape and baling string repairs keeping the jalopy looking like it’s a good buy when it’s really a rolling wreck. The Republican Party has placed an accounting package on the Congressional steps and invited others to look at, examine and present options to reform, bolster or modify for the betterment of the nation. (That’s the impression they want us to accept.) The Democrats, as is their regular modus operandi, have rejected it out of hand without properly reading it to see where the American people can be advised to understand the intricacies of what it all means. As usual; politics at all costs; no matter the cost because somebody else suffers the cost (in this case, our children). The Democrats didn’t have full and complete knowledge of what they’d written in over two-thousand (2000) pages concerning the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), but they screamed when the nation wanted to better understand what the bloody things said. We’re still finding inconsistencies in the language and propositions concealed in the arcane parliamentary language used to create this multi-Trillion Dollar controversy. The hypocrisy of the moment is only overshadowed by the blatancy of its appearance. What I’m getting at here is really kind of simple. Why, when we need real, honest, intelligent and thoughtful debate concerning the economic future of the world, do we get a buffoon with a comb-over complaining about a birth certificate controversy that may or may not exist beyond the primary participant’s ability to practice their own format of sleight of hand? While we look at this game they’re playing, is anything of substance being accomplished? NO. As usual the people we pay the big bucks to are squandering our money (the same money they refer to as Government Money) and wasting our time. Obama speaks out on a political basis while proclaiming his non-partisan stance (which always seems to be in controversy to his opposition) on purely ideological points. And the lies keep coming. To say this theater of the absurd is getting to be tragically repetitive and redundant in the scenarios presented, is an understatement. Nothing ever changes. The cast of absurdist characters show no real entertainment value and serve more to bore the audience than please us. I wish they’d simply drop the curtain and close the theater for good. The sooner they drop it on Trump the better. Thanks for listening
