It’s now just part of life on Twitter that some Tweeters are far more acerbic and much wittier than the reporters of powerful news sites. The Blaze, which has been downright tireless in going after presidential hopeful Donald J. Trump, yesterday singed The Donald’s high-flying wings with sanctimonious derision, all for sending out “political” Tweets on Christmas Day. ‘Donald Trump Gets Reminded That It Is Christmas Day After Blasting Off This Set of Tweets’ is today’s Blaze headline.
Take that, Donald Trump and as the ‘Hit the Road’ song says, “Don’t you come back no more”. For your information, Blaze burner Oliver Darcy, who often lances Trump with pointed ‘puter fingers, held his latest criticism of Trump off until 6:04 p.m.--on Christmas Day. It was Darcy, followers of the 2016 Republican presidential frontrunner may recall who nailed Trump for being “thin skinned” about questions from reporters: “Trump earned himself a reputation for being sensitive to media scrutiny by way of blasting news outlets and reporters who are critical of his campaign. () “The billionaire has gone after multiple Fox News personalities, National Review’s editor and Politico in recent days. “ Darcy surfaced again when Trump insulted Hillary Clinton fav Huma Abedin over the email scandal:
“So Huma is getting classified secrets,” the Republican frontrunner added. “She’s married to Anthony Wiener, who is a perv. No, he is!” “Do you think there’s even a five percent chance that she’s not telling Anthony Weiner, now of a public relations firm, what the hell is coming across? Do you even think there is even a little bit of a chance? I don’t think so,” he added, calling it a “very sad situation.” “Those jabs at Abedin didn’t sit well with the Clinton campaign. Spokesman Nick Merrill released a scathing statement, saying Trump should be embarrassed for what he said.”

Trump, who wasn’t embarrassed, kept right on truckin’, this time going after The Blaze founder and all-round do-gooder Glen Beck. “Republican frontrunner Donald Trump attacked TheBlaze founder Glenn Beck Wednesday night, alleging the former Fox News host “got fired like a dog” from his former job at the cable-news network.” (Blaze, Dec. 17, 2015 ).
“The Blaze is failing and he wanted to have me on his show. I said no – because he is irrelevant,” Trump added in his tweet. “Beck responded soon after, sending the real estate mogul a GIF of a cute puppy: “Earlier this week, Beck announced that TheBlaze TV had inked a deal with Verizon FIOS to make the channel available to its millions of subscribers. TheBlaze is also one of the most visited center-right news websites in the country.”
Among the whines against Trump for “bullying” Jeb Bush on Christmas Day, such as “@realDonld Trump Seriously, it’s Christmas. Give it a Break” and “Dear @real Donald Trump, it’s Christmas man. Give it a rest and spend some time celebrating the holiday rather than insulting people, came some absolute gems in the Blaze comment section: “Should we also be mad at news casters for casting the news on Christmas? I mean common it’s Christmas……” was one. “If anything this just shows Trump really never does take a day off. If Trump was president how many times would we hear about his vacations across the world to play golf,” was another. ckfromok tried for hilarity: “Trump's the only one with our country on his mind. All of the other candidates are probably drunk for the holidays.” That’s your answer? “If you don’t like it, turn off your phones and computers,” commented CormacNJ. And the best one of all that many news site reporters wished they had authored: “Christmas has always been a good day to go after your enemies. “Ask General Washington- DeOppressoLiber Message to Bobby Lou@kelseybates who tweeted: @realDonald Trump stop bullying Jeb for a day, it’s Christmas!!!” If Trump had laid off Bush for Christmas only to return to his anti-Bush Tweets the next day, that would have made him a hypocrite.
