TORONTO,- Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today reported sales of 14,980 Toyota, Lexus and Scion cars, trucks and SUVs in October, 2011 - up 3.0% from the same month the previous year. This included an 8.5% boost to truck/SUV sales across Lexus and Toyota, for TCI's best ever October truck sales.
- Toyota sales were up 2.5% with gains in a number of key models.
- Lexus sales were 0.7% higher with IS and RX series gains.
- Scion sales were up 43.7%, with 355 lifestyle vehicles sold.

- Avalon up 56.4%
- Camry up 43.3%
- Camry Hybrid up 137.9%
- Prius up 15.8%
Canadian built
"In addition to launching the all-new Prius v, the next generation Yaris Hatch and Camry, and a significantly updated Tacoma in the fourth quarter, we're also launching a special promotion to close out 2011," said Tony Wearing, Managing Director, Toyota Canada Inc. "The Year End Countdown event offers great cash incentives on popular 2011 models as we make room for 2012."

- Up to $4,000 on 2011 Avalon, Corolla, Matrix, RAV4, Tacoma and Venza
- Up to $5,000 on 2011 Camry
- Up to $6,000 on 2011 Camry Hybrid and Tundra

- Lexus luxury SUV sales up 6.4%
- Canadian-built RX 350 up 22.5%
- IS 250/IS 350 up 18.2%
Scion sales highlights for October 2011 (vs. October 2010)
- Scion xD up 191.7%
- Scion tC up 62.5%
- Scion xB up 5.2%

New Leasing options
To help further the support of Canadian customers, Toyota / Lexus Financial Services also announced two new financing options for Canadian drivers to help with affordability in the market. The Bi-Weekly Loan Payment option and Low Kilometre Leasing option allow customers to lower their lease payments. Details are available at Toyota and Lexus Dealers across Canada.
