The whole world understands about "tribes". From Africans to Native Americans, from Arabs to Australian aborigines, the concept of "tribes" has been around since the beginning of the human race.

Encarta World English Dictionary defines a "tribe" as a society or division of a society whose members have ancestry, beliefs, customs, and leadership in common. But in America, something unique happened: God gathered peoples of diverse ancestry, beliefs and customs in the New World, where they formed a new "tribe".  They banded together under a common leadership, to form a new nation, and called themselves "Americans".  And the only requirement for membership in this new tribe was allegiance to the tribe, and its beliefs and customs. That had never been done before.  And there were those who believed it was impossible for this widely diverse collection of peoples to find a common bond strong enough to last. But last it has - for 230 years. That “common bond” was in their shared ancestry: they sprang from those brave immigrants who first settled the New World. That bond was in their shared faith in Almighty God, and their shared belief in the values He taught them, and the freedoms that He gave to all men – and in the future achievement that those values and freedoms made possible. Their common language – English – enabled them to communicate with each other, and that communication of shared beliefs and ideas bound them to one another, and created prosperity for them. And they demonstrated that shared bond to the world through customs developed out of their shared beliefs. That incredible bond – of shared ancestry, beliefs and customs - enabled the new “tribe” to become the most powerful in the world. Now, however, there are those who seek to challenge that bond.  They call themselves "Progressives", and they hate all the God created here in America. So they seek to forcibly impose a new tribal "allegiance" on Americans: allegiance to their vision of an "international tribe", whose members share nothing except subjugation by an all-powerful, all-controlling Global “leadership”. There is just one problem with that plan: TRIBES CANNOT BE FORMED BY FORCE. The bond shared is mental and emotional as well as physical. It is based on not only a shared background, but shared experiences and viewpoint as well. So you can herd people into an enclosure, and threaten them with dire consequences if they fail to satisfy your demands. But no matter what pressure you bring to bear, you cannot FORCE them to think and feel a bond with each other, if their differences are too disparate. Yet, that is exactly what Progressives seek to do. Throughout all of Nature, creatures congregate with their own kind – because that is where they are safest. Rabbits don’t join the local pride of lions. Giraffes don’t buddy up with crocodiles. Why not? Simple - prey does not get cozy with predators. It’s a matter of survival. And the members of a human tribe don’t welcome the local cannibals into their midst. If they do, the tribe doesn’t last very long, because eventually the new members get hungry. Progressives, however, actually believe that they can change our nature. In their arrogance, they believe themselves powerful intelligent enough to mold humankind to a shape of their liking. And like all other predators, they will devour all but their own. How sad that they reject the Bible. If they read it, they would understand that Almighty God is the only Creator. He created us, and He is the only One with the Authority to shape and mold us. All others beware - because He gave us the Free Will to resist! © Diana Clark 2010 Diana Clark is a Christian, grandmother, conservative Constitutionalist, a Vet, from three generations of Vets - and would rather do a good CW two-step than eat.
