imagePolitical powertripping can be as much fun as spending the entire day with Mickey at Disneyland, particularly when it’s a new option and makes you feel like the whole world is your proverbial oyster. Powertripping can be a lot of fun until you step into the wrong pasture and don’t know where all the meadow muffins have been dropped. So think how it must have felt when you had the magic want of the 44th president of the USA on your desk and could go, “Presto, buh bye, El Rushbo!” Then think of the power punch delivered by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launching an online petition for readers to express their outrage at America’s top talk show host, all for saying last week that he hopes the policies (italics CFP’s) of Obama fail.

Eureka! With the way needed for Nancy Pelosi’s Fairness Doctrine to be made into law, this is the golden path! Gangups in the petunia patch of Rush Limbaugh can make you positively giddy with power without the Scotch. But wolfpack mentality never stops to think ahead. There is one teeny little detail powerdrunk Dems could be overlooking. With Americans losing jobs and the roof over their heads in a runaway worldwide recession, where do Dems find the time to launch an anti-Rush petition with a 19-second sound byte from Rush’s show? With Dufus Rebuplicans falling all over Obama and trying to crash his photo ops rather than speaking up about the need to protect the public purse, Washington, DC is starting to look just like the Hollywood that has long been in on its act. With The Messiah’s ratings starting to slip, guess who the listening world will be trained on today? Washington or EIB Network Excellence in Broadcasting, where someone is having more fun than any human should be allowed to have. Holy party crackers, what if some upstart kickstarts an online petition supporting El Rushbo and it trumps the Dem’s latest hatchet job? The last thing any cult really needs is a dose of reality, cleansing sunshine and truth. The Messiah who took Washington by storm on November 4, 2008 is drowning in the popularity of a radio king without ever having even placed a single toe into the water some claim he can walk on. News alarm: Looks like Rush is morphing into a Messiah. If this trend keeps up, he’ll be the only one left who doesn’t need a government bailout. Earth to George Soros: It would be a kindness to remind President Barack Obama that there’s a country to run.
