Trump, DeSantis neck-and-neck in Iowa as Florida gov makes first trip to early voting state

A new survey indicates that former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis are in a dead heat in the early voting state of Iowa — before DeSantis has even formally announced his White House candidacy.

The Des Moines Register/Mediacom Iowa Poll released Friday found that 80% of self-identified Republicans in the state had a “very favorable” or “mostly favorable” view of the 76-year-old former president, while 75% said the same of DeSantis. ---More...
