Trump’s anti-trade policies

RE: Mitt Romney is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts, about Donald Trump

Herman Cain’s argument against Romney’s remarks about the disastrous economic policies of Donald Trump omits a key point.

Trump’s anti-trade policies threaten deep tariffs on goods imported from China and Japan. Economists have predicted the loss of tens of thousands of US trade-related jobs and a deep recession if such tariffs were enacted. So, Cain misses the elephant in the room. The question I would want Trump to answer is: Do you know who would pay these tariffs? Answer: the US consumer. Stephen Wollack
