Anyone whose has been paying attention will know that the unemployment rate will drop like a rock in the coming weeks.

As part of the budget deal, unemployment benefits were cut to some 1.3 million Americans so the reported unemployment rate will go down, not because people are working but because they will no longer be counted. The Republicans will be portrayed as heartless and there will be a scramble to figure out what to do. That seems like a frivolous exercise as we are told that the economy is so much better that those folks should certainly be able to be gainfully employed, a situation that would be better for them and for the taxpayers. Democrats are screaming like banshees. Why? Because they know what the rest of us know. There are no jobs for those 1.3 million people. And now the truth will be exposed. They can't have it both ways. Either the economy is better and people can find work. Or it isn't better. And never forget that GOD IS IN CHARGE! Richard Rock Port Charlotte, FL
