VAs Divide & Conquer: Segregating VSO Leaders From Elected Officials

Attention local VSOs (Veteran Service Organizations) ... American Legion, VFW, DAV, MOPH, Jewish War Veterans, VVA, etc. Per the e-mail below, you've been informed by the traitorous VA bureaucrat, Erik J. Gutierrez, a Veteran and member of the AL Post 283, that you are "not equal" to our elected officials, as "VSO’s have different perspectives and skill sets," and therefore do not deserve to be at the same table while corrupt politicians that are telling the VA what to do with our Veterans' sacred land. Lest you've forgotten, that while VSOs are sanctioned by congress, the congress is sanctioned by "We the People."

After the 2015 bogus settlement agreement, the VSOs muscled themselves to the "table" as a supposed coalition representing all Veterans, but you have failed to hold the most corrupt VA in the nation accountable, and now this same corrupt VA has determined that you are not worthy, qualified, nor have the "skill sets" to be at the same table with the entrusted elected officials of 'We the People.' Didn't you take an oath pledging your lives to defend our Constitution against "all enemies -- foreign and domestic?" If this isn't the domestic enemy, what is? It's time to take a page out of Jesus's crusade for the greater good and go inside the VA and start turning over the tables of the money changers, as indeed, this is what's going on where the "elected officials" take money from the local wealthy non-Veteran entities in exchange for giving them control of our Veterans VA land while war-injured and impoverished Veterans live homeless and hungry on the sidewalks adjacent to land deeded exclusively in their behalf. VSOs; you've had your chance and bungled it regarding the settlement agreement. There are now more illegal occupants on VA property than when the settlement agreement was signed more than four years ago (read 2018 VA-OIG Report, that also concluded Veterans were not properly represented). Moreover, Los Angeles is still the nation's capital for homeless Veterans even though the #1 Promise / Objective of the January 28, 2105 settlement agreement was to end Veteran homelessness in Los Angeles by the end of 2015 and beyond. Now, the VA is telling you that you are unworthy to sit at the same table as the corrupt elected officials and sleazy VA bureaucrats while they continue to defraud disabled Veterans of the National Veterans Home.

Correspondingly, is there one, just one, VSO official who has the courage, honor and integrity to demand that Erik J. Gutierrez be immediately fired from the VA? Lest you've forgotten, he got his training as an assistant to (Veteran) Ralph Tillman, the criminal VA thug who took more than a quarter-million-dollars in bribes and kickbacks from criminal Richard Scott who defrauded the VA out of $13 million. Tillman's name was on all the nine VA real estate deals adjudicated in in Federal Court in 2013, to be "unauthorized by law and therefore void." We're losing nearly $100K a month from the rent-free Brentwood Village Parking Lot, collecting zero rent from the City of LA's 12-acre public dog park, etc., etc., while the corrupt VA says they have no money and therefore must lease prime real estate to non-Veteran entities for $1 a year for 50+ years. The corruption is never ending and ever expanding. It must stop, posthaste! Accordingly, there must not be any "separate" meetings. All VA meetings must be open to all Veterans, regardless of their affiliation or independence. You've unilaterally appointed yourselves as the "voice of authority" for Veterans, but you've been silenced by the VA and elected officials. Currently, we host meetings on the 2nd month of each Quarter (February, May, August and November) on the 1stTuesday. Understanding that our Elected Offices and VSO’s have different perspectives and skill sets, I would like to divide our meeting into separate quarterly meetings for VSOs and Elected Offices respectively. Moving forward, Elected Offices will maintain the 2nd month of each Quarter (February, May, August and November) face to face meeting on the 1st Tuesday. We will be holding separate VSO face to face meetings on the 3rd Month of the quarter (March, June, September and December) to discuss Veterans issues. We will also maintain our Veteran Town Hall schedule meeting on the 1st month of each quarter (January, April, July, and October) on the 2nd Wednesday. Regards, Erik J.
