Vatican Sources Have Leaked that Bishop Strickland of Tyler TX Will be Asked to Resign

WASHINGTON, Sept. 14, 2023  -- Bishop Strickland has publicly stated that he will refuse to resign, and that he will exhaust the canonical remedies at his disposal to protect his episcopacy.

Bishop Strickland has become beloved by millions of faithful Catholics and Protestants - in a way similar to that of the Late Bishop Fulton Sheen - because of his unflinching defense of the unborn, recognizing that marriage can only be between a man and a woman, and Catholic Orthodoxy.

Conversely, he has become a "thorn in the side" of those in the Vatican who wish to undermine Church teaching and tradition.

Catholics and Protestants (who love life, and Bishop Strickland's courage) will gather at the Vatican embassy to pray, and call on the Vatican to leave Bishop Strickland alone.

"Why is the Vatican singling out Bishop Strickland? What nefarious forces are at play inside the Vatican that would silence one of the most beloved and heroic bishops of our times?

"We humbly call on the Vatican to give us MORE bishops like Bishop Strickland. The Church in America and around the world is racked by scandal, precisely because of the lack of courageous, outspoken Bishops - who defend life and truth with their voices, their reputations, and if need be, their lives.

"Bishop Strickland's 'sin' is that he became popular on social media, and made other prelates and people in the Vatican look bad. The problem for him is that he is too much like a 'soloist.' We don't need a great 'soloist;' we need a great 'choir.'

"The real test on the horizon is this: How many of his brother bishops in America and around the world will speak up publically in Bishop Strickland's defense? This is where the mettle of other good men will be tested."
