Veterans’ Lives and Property Are In Extreme Danger

Veterans’ Lives and Property Are In Extreme DangerFellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans: Today was the Old Veterans Guard’s 13th Anniversary and the 676th consecutive, peaceful Sunday protest against the very-corrupt Los Angeles VA with our twofold Mission: “Save Our Veterans Land” and “Bring Our Homeless Veterans HOME.” Today we also celebrate the 133rd Anniversary of the Trust Deed to Veterans sacred property that promises to be “permanently maintained as a National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers,” signed March 5, 1888.
Instead of a National Home, the Los Angeles VA is a national disgrace while Greater LA remains our nation’s capital for homeless Veterans with no respectful or responsible efforts in sight. Instead of a Home for Veterans, it is home of the ultra-wealthy and private Brentwood School’s state-of-the-art sports complex. It’s a home for UCLA’s collegiate baseball stadium with public parking lot, top-of-the-line batting cage and a newly added “practice field.” It’s home to the 4-acre public parking lot for the wealthy-elitist “Brentwood Village” shopping center while wealthy landlords violate the City of LA’s building code requiring them to individually provide their own parking facility, not hijacking Veterans sacred land for their unlawful commercial use. It’s home to a privately owned oil-drilling business on Federal VA land that is extremely unsafe for VA patients and employees as well as residential neighbors, while President Joe Biden recently shut down the major Keystone Oil Pipeline project. And, oh-by-the way, his Vice-President Kamal Harris is a neighboring resident with her $5 million mansion. It’s a 12-acre home for the City of LA’s largest public dog park and parking lot to accommodate Brentwood residents – a mega-million-dollar parcel of Veterans’ land -- RENT FREE. It’s home to LA METRO’s Purple Line public subway station and parking garage for the benefit of Brentwood residents on some of the most valuable land in the USA fronting Wilshire Boulevard with a multiple-acreage mega-million-dollar “easement” – RENT FREE. A small child could see that this billion-dollar land-fraud scandal is not only illegal, but flagrantly immoral as the protection of Veterans’ sacred land is in extreme danger. While wealthy and privileged non-Veteran entities illegally occupy land belonging to U.S. Military Veterans, a multitude of disabled Veterans live homeless and needy outside the VA and throughout Greater LA.

This is not only immoral and inhumane, but these Veterans’ lives are in extreme danger. This past Thursday around 1:00 AM, a woman driving a new Lincoln Navigator MKC on San Vicente Boulevard in Brentwood was obviously speeding and lost control of her vehicle and crashed through the Veterans Tent City on the sidewalk and her vehicle went through the VA fence onto VA property. 3 injured after SUV plows into homeless encampment in Brentwood Driver Slams Into Homeless Encampment In Brentwood Even though the driver leveled a few homeless Veteran tents, she also destroyed a portion of the VA fence and totaled her own vehicle. Fortunately, only three were injured, including the driver, but not seriously. See attached photos. The VA police were on the scene where her car totally destroyed a section of the VA fence and her car ended up directly inside VA property. Apparently, she was not charged with any violations and was allowed to leave the scene when friends came to pick her up. Police Let Suspect Walk After Crashing Her Car Into Unhoused Veterans How does this happen? Lincoln Navigator MKC

Just as in Tiger Woods’ recent single-vehicle accident, we demand the “black box” of this driver’s vehicle which did not involve other vehicles. Why the special privileges of protecting her? For the record, during late 2015 and early 2016, I was falsely arrested 14 times by VA police for displaying the American Flag (a placard) on the front fence outside the VA and my American Flags were confiscated. This woman who is not a Veteran, completely destroyed a Federal VA fence and she was neither arrested nor was her car impounded. Why the special privileges Here?? Additionally, I was falsely arrested three times for taking photos outside the VA “for news purposes without permission,” then roughly handcuffed and thrown head-first into the back of a VA police SUV, while this woman crashed her own $45,000 SUV through Veterans sleeping in $250 tents on the sidewalk and then crashed through the VA fence. As mentioned, the VA police and the LAPD officers apparently allowed her to leave on her own as they found “no reasonable cause” to arrest her and impound her vehicle. Nothing!! Moreover, while I was falsely arrested three times outside the VA for taking photos “without permission” at our regularly scheduled Sunday afternoon protest in 2016 -- the Eighth year of our peaceful protest – on Thursday morning the VA police did not arrest any of the many news agencies taking photos and videos of this accident that included the vehicle directly inside the VA. Who gave these news / media agencies permission to take photos of VA property at 1:00 AM and beyond, and why the special privileges as opposed to Veterans being arrested taking photos “for news purposes?”

As is evident, The VA police discriminate and invoke double standards with Veterans and non-Veterans and the VA bureaucrats invoke double standards regarding VA land use with unlawful privileges for the wealthy and powerful, and now it appears the same happens with the VA fence. Instead of the VA reaching out to us and working together with responsible solutions to end Veteran homelessness and ending the land-fraud swindle, we’ve been harassed and intimidated, insulted and assaulted, lied to and lied about, retaliated and discriminated against, falsely accused and threatened, stalked and spied upon, including false arrests for proudly displaying the American Flag -- as well as legally taking photographs. It is the VA’s Modus Operandi to use puppet VA police officers who "just follow orders" of the very corrupt VA bureaucrats who never have the best interests and well-being of our Veterans at heart or in mind. As a result of the recent events that include more and more unlawful occupation of Veterans VA land and the near fatality accident involving innocent homeless Veterans’ lives adjacent to the VA, at today’s 13th Anniversary, we will invoke the Official Rights afforded in the U.S. Flag Code, Chapter, Section 8. a)., because we will be respectfully displaying some of our American Flags with the Union down << as a signal of dire distress in instances of extreme danger to life or property >> since both the lives of Veterans’ and our legally deeded property are in “EXTREME DANGERboth the lives of Veterans’ and our legally deeded property are in “EXTREME DANGER.”.” God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution!
