Violent Crime Isn't Reparations

I just posted this on social media:

'If allowing Black career criminals to murder, attempt to murder, carjack and armed rob somehow made up for racism, we'd live in a utopia. It doesn't. What it does do is execute and terrorize members of my community and others living in it. That doesn't make up for anything'.

Siding with Black victimizers over Black victims in the name of historic injustice against Black people

As a 'safety creator,' a combination advocate and consultant, I've observed and assisted scores of crime victims or those trying not to become ones.

This has been done lately in a ‘blue', meaning Democratic establishment-run city. An often unspoken inference to official enabling of those I call 'violent traitors' is that it makes up for racism. They were quite vocal about it during their 'defund the police' heyday early this decade.

A resounding Republican victory and reelection of their arch enemy, the 47th president, has made them less vocal but no less committed to this disastrous course.

Even Black crime victims, or in the case of murder, their families, are considered acceptable losses due to racism. That point alone perplexes me.

They side with Black victimizers over Black victims in the name of historic injustice against Black people. Full stop. I can't begin to comprehend cognitive gymnastics needed to arrive at such a conclusion.

What I do comprehend is how it cheapens modern lives already devalued by past prejudice. My premise has always been active policing, starting with taking our reports seriously and vigorous prosecution of those targeting Black crime victims was real 'anti racism', to borrow a leftist phrase.

I've had to persuade more than one White progressive crime victim in 'blue' New Orleans into making police reports. They put their assailant's race above reality of crime committed. I told them in no uncertain terms that their physical pain or property loss didn't make up for racism. 

Black people with sense are invaluable in such moments. Otherwise, traitors to safety among us get a 'pass' from the very people they torment.

I've opposed the notion of violent crime being a perverse form of reparations since becoming aware of it decades ago. Once fringe, it's now a holy grail of accepted Democratic doctrine.

It's wrong on its face, upgrades existing stereotypes into digital times and makes innocent people in marginalized areas more unsafe instead of untouched by career criminals.

Violent crime isn't reparations. All leftists are doing is producing more misery in need of repair, not less of it.

Our struggle shouldn't be pimped by White ideologues on the left and Black traitors against safety left to their own devices. Neither group cares how many suffer so long as they have their way.

Making up for racism is just the cover story.
