Suwanee, Ga. -- March 27, 2011 -- Vision Airlines announces a Super Summer Sale just in time for summer vacation planning season, beginning Monday, March 28th, 2011 and ending April 10, 2011 at 11:59 pm eastern time. Buy a ticket at regular price and get a companion ticket for only $49* each way. Passengers may buy a $49* Companion ticket each-way when they purchase one regularly-priced ticket to most Vision Airlines’ destinations. Vision Airlines services 11 states in the Southeast with non-stop flights to and from NW Florida Regional Airport located at Destin/Ft Walton Beach. Vision Airlines' specially-priced, limited $49* companion fares are also available on flights from NW Florida Regional to Orlando/Sanford International Airport, Punta Gorda/Fort Myers Airport and St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport.

Passengers that fly the Louisville and Fort Lauderdale routes will also be able to take advantage of this rate. “Vision Airlines serves destinations that are known for family vacation fun and this type of sale will allow families the opportunity to fly to their favorite vacation destinations” said Vision Airlines’ Chief Operating Officer David Meers. “In the past, families had to endure long drives on congested highways or pay horrendously high airfares to fly to Florida’s top vacation spots. This fare sale eliminates the hassle of driving and makes it affordable to fly” said Meers. Vision Airlines is also launching a television advertising blitz to support this great Summer Sale. Vision Airlines has partnered with VisitFlorida to help drive tourism to the state this summer. Florida’s Governor Rick Scott has repeatedly said that Florida is the top state in the country to live, work and play. Vision Airlines’ low fares will allow visitors to experience the beautiful beaches, great golf courses and world class theme parks more often. The $49* companion fares apply to flights that take-off the morning of March 28, 2011 through September 10, 2011. There is a limited number of $49*companion fares on each flight. The sale ends on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 11:59 PM (ET).

INAUGURAL FLIGHTS LAUNCH

Between March 28and April 1, 2011, Vision Airlines will continue to launch new service to the following cities; Destin/Ft Walton Beach FL, Ft. Lauderdale FL, and Louisville KY. Beginning April 1,2011, Vision Airlines launches service to Asheville NC, Chattanooga TN, Columbia SC, Little Rock AR, Orlando/Sanford FL, and Shreveport LA. Vision Airlines is currently flying scheduled service to Atlanta, Baton Rouge, Destin/Ft. Walton Beach, Greenville/Spartanburg, Huntsville, Houston, Knoxville, Punta Gorda/ Ft Myers, Savannah/Hilton Head, St Petersburg/Tampa, Louisville, Gulfport, Miami, and Niagara/Buffalo. More routes will continue to be added throughout the first couple of weeks in April. Tickets and complete vacation packages are now on sale at (website link); or through the airline's reservations call center at 1-877-FLY-A-JET.

FLYING IS LESS EXPENSIVE THAN DRIVING TO FLORIDA

For decades people living in Vision Airlines' focus cities have been vacationing and retiring along the Emerald Coast. "Because there has never been affordable air travel to Destin-Fort Walton Beach, families have had to endure grueling drives to get to Florida's gulf coast says," COO, David Meers. "That all changes with the launch of our inaugural Florida flights.” Vision Airlines received warm welcomes and great support on the first few inaugural flights this past weekend. More flights will continue to launch over the next week but the first group of passengers were eager to have an affordable travel option that not only saved time, but money as well. On average, Vision Airlines' normal one-way fares to Florida are $89 - $99.

REVITALIZE EMERALD COAST ECONOMY

Vision Airlines is expected to play a pivotal role in revitalizing Florida's Emerald Coast tourism industry. Florida Governor Rick Scott forecasts that Vision Airlines will generate approximately 4,000 new jobs and will help fill the area's tens of thousands of hotel rooms, many of which remained vacant during the 2010 tourist season, due to the oil spill. "Our beaches are beautiful and the water has never been better”, says Mark Bellinger, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Emerald Coast Convention and Visitors' Bureau. "Despite limited environmental impact, tourists avoided the gulf coast altogether in 2010 due to negative publicity received from national media outlets." The Governor and local tourism officials encourage tourists to see for themselves that Florida's Emerald Coast beaches are still sugary-white and the water is still crystal clear.
