Waiting Out Fiona’s Landfall In Sea-bound Nova Scotia
So here we are four months after relocating to Nova Scotia waiting for arrival of tonight’s forecasted Category 4 Hurricane Fiona and its lashing rains and banshee-like screaming winds. Folks around here, who always know better than the weather ‘experts’, are reminding us that landfall will be East of where CFP is located, somewhere between Halifax and Cape Breton, and we wish safety from the storm for all who live there.

politicized weather experts can hardly wait to blame Fiona on Global Warming/Climate change rather than on Mother Nature

The house which I fondly call ‘The House by the Sea’ has some protection from the local harbor, in that it has no direct access from crashing Atlantic waves, and has been standing since 1922 some 50 feet above the tides. We know that the politicized weather experts can hardly wait to blame Fiona on Global Warming/Climate change rather than on Mother Nature. Our Creator created Mother Nature and all other things. Storms have been part of human life for centuries. The only things created by the Marxist oligarchs now trying to run the world are misery, worry, economic destruction, wars and out-and-out scare mongering. Knowing that the weather experts would soon blame Global Warming/Climate Change rather than Mother Nature for Hurricane Fiona, we originally wanted to invite several neighbors here on a kind of ‘Storm Watch Gathering’. Should we get the power outage expected in the wake of most hurricanes, we could offer Storm Watch neighbors plenty of battery-operated LED lights, carafes of hot coffee, thermoses with chilli and soup, sandwiches etc. Our sandwiches would be made of ham and beef of the kind scorned by Bill Gates and company, who would have us eat only fake, lab-created meat. We would ask at some point during the gathering: “Gin Rummy or Euchre anyone?” Rather than talking about Global Warming/Climate Change nonsense, we would be keeping each other company.

“Storms” as Waylon Jennings and wife Jessi Colter once sang, “never last”

We are well Blessed to be living in this small Acadian Fishing Village, and have noticed that Nova Scotians (‘BlueNosers’) remain to this day what they have always been: hardworking, loaded with Common Sense, the Salt of the Earth. It would take something far more ominous than a storm to frighten the average Nova Scotian, who have already survived the storms of every day life in these trying times. Kind letters from American friends, living the storms of every day life, have been sent by many wishing for our safety. We thank them all, each and every one, particularly longtime dear friends Barbara Laviner in North Carolina, Doug and Katherine Bronson in Florida. “Storms” as Waylon Jennings and wife Jessi Colter once sang, “never last”. The Almighty’s sunshine will return after weather man-dubbed Hurricane Fiona, as it does after every storm. Meanwhile, Canada Free Press will remain on line no matter what Hurricane Fiona brings.
