Wake up, RNC

I wonder how many times I've hung up on a Republican National Committee caller asking for money. Then there were the times that I took a few minutes to explain that until the party decided to support me and my values, I wouldn't give them one red cent.

The Republican Party, not the members of it, have created the rift. Failure to hear the people and represent them has caused frustration. Failure to make changes to party platforms has turned members away. Failure to embrace the candidates supported by the people has made members angry. Failure to stop the practice of protecting the status quo has left members without a voice. I hate to say it but the Democrats are representing their constituents and are building a party in the image of their members. At the same time, the Republican Party is fashioning the party to suit themselves. Wake up, RNC. You may not like Trump or Cruz but your members do. Decide now: Are you with us or against us? Then we'll decide if we are with YOU or against you. Right now, we are a people abandoned by their party. Victoria Vaughn Englewood, FL
