Was Obama derelict in his duty?

It is becoming glaringly apparent from recently released State Department emails that President Obama was made fully aware of the firestorm brewing in Benghazi by his staff.

After being informed of this erupting crisis, he disappeared faster than the caviar at a United Nations buffet. No one in his White House chain of command could find him in to keep him appraised of further developments that eventually resulted in a full-blown leadership debacle that resulted in the deaths of four Americans. President Obama’s sudden absence is odd behavior even for an "I command from rear" kinda guy, when you consider his big ring binder full of Rules of Engagement for the command and control of all foreign-area military operations, darn near down to the platoon level in Afghanistan. When judging the POTUS's deportment as a commander, we must remember that our military and naval warfighters of all ranks and at all operational levels, are subject to the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So I, like many others who have taken oaths in service to our nation, would like to know if our Commander-in-Chief--if he is indeed that--can be held to the same professional standard, considering he is titular head of our armed forces? Since President Obama was fully aware of what was transpiring in Benghazi, and as head of the National Command Authority, he was the only individual who could give the "GO!" order to our Special Forces operators, en route from Croatia, to enter Libyan airspace and rescue our people in Benghazi, but someone definitely issued a "Stand Down" order. The president was the key to saving lives and he was nowhere to be found. In effect, he deserted his command post in time of crisis, much the same way Sgt. Bergdahl 'walked off his post' in Afghanistan. While former Secretary of State Clinton should be held accountable for what occurred at the diplomatic posts and missions under her command, I would like to see an un-redacted accounting of the President's official time line to account for just where our leader ran off to in those critical hours between being initially notified that the 'manure was hitting the fan' at our Benghazi mission, and the last bullets being fired by our men as they made that fighting withdrawal from their overrun position carrying the bodies of their fallen comrades.
