Washington Examiner Scores Big

Congratulations are in order for the Washington Examiner which recently acquired some top-notch journalistic talent, FishbowlDC reports.

David Freddoso comes to the paper from National Review Online, where he covered Congress and presidential politics. Freddoso is the author of the New York Times best-seller, The Case Against Barack Obama, a book that cites Capital Research Center’s work repeatedly and that was praised by the preeminent commentator Thomas Sowell. (We interviewed Freddoso about his book. The transcript and podcast are available here.) J.P. Freire comes to the paper from the American Spectator. He was named 2009 journalist of the year by the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Freire’s work has appeared in the New York Times, Chicago Sun-Times, Human Events, Reason Magazine, and the Washington Times.   Freddoso and Freire join the Washington Examiner’s Kevin Mooney who has been doing excellent investigative work on ACORN and campaign finance funny business.
