De-evolution: "Progressive" are leading us down the path of this societal degeneration

We are Devo - Please check your brain at the door

The band Devo that formed in the early 1970s may have been onto something when they named themselves after their self-proclaimed philosophy of de-evolution, a belief that society was in the process of reverse evolution into social chaos. How ironic that those that call themselves "progressive" are leading us down the path of this societal degeneration.
Constitutional government, Christianity, and civility are all under attack by those whose morality is based on the political agenda of the day. The "evil" capitalist system is currently being held captive by a political elite who have the same proclivity toward greed and abuse of power as any of us do when we abandon our conscience and moral standards. And in order to become a part of today's political class of elites, it is required that you learn how to make decisions without your brain functions - stop using your brain and simply accept the political view presented to you. Major spokespeople for their cause, such as Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Joe Biden show us on a regular basis, use of your brain for reasoning and logical thinking are not necessary. As the evidence grows of a presidency trying to get everyone believing a false narrative about the attack on Benghazi for the sake of their election campaign, Nancy Pelosi cries "diversion, subterfuge" at those trying to expose diversion and subterfuge. Then Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, while fixated on a mythical Koch brothers conspiracy as he obstructs any legislation that actually promotes economic growth, tells us that "Senate Democrats will remain focused on fostering economic growth for all hard-working Americans."

Vice President Joe Biden, ever making foolish statements because he fails to engage his brain, toed the Democrat line during a graduation speech at Miami Dade College on Saturday, as he found himself unable to draw the distinction between legal and illegal immigration. After a heckler shouted "Stop deportations!" he responded "We'll do that, too..." He then repeatedly pushed the short-sighted view that the solution to illegal immigration is essentially to make legal every illegal immigrant by proclamation. We get some insight into why Democrats choose to ignore any negative consequences of unlimited immigration and open borders when we look at a study "Immigration's Impact on Republican Political Prospects" by James G. Gimpel:
"A comparison of voting patterns in presidential elections across counties over the last three decades shows that mass immigration has caused a steady drop in presidential Republican vote shares, particularly in the nation's largest counties. Each one percentage-point increase in the immigrant share of a large county's population reduces the Republican share of the two-party vote by nearly 0.6 percentage points on average." "With the Democratic bias in immigrant political preference so decisive, it is no surprise that the rise in immigrant populations should directly lead to ever-growing Democratic majorities in the places where immigrants settle, and declining electoral prospects for Republicans."
This explains why the Democrats want us to abandon giving any thought to the consequences of unlimited immigration. More immigrants becoming voting citizens as soon as possible means more Democrat votes. To the Democrats, if it helps them politically, the long-term consequences aren't important. Just repeat what they say, no need to use your brain. At this point, the de-evolution of our nation being directed by the Obama administration and the Democrat Party continues largely unheeded. Their main political opponent, the Republican Party, has leadership that lets them get away with it for two main reasons. First, they attribute honorable motives to the Democrats diversion and subterfuge, and refuse to call them out on their deception. Secondly, the Republican leadership makes a mistake in thinking that the creation of policies more like that of the Democrats will win them more voters. What the Republican Party needs to do, however, is to unite on a clear conservative agenda that contains the principles of limited government, spending within our means, supporting entrepreneurship and private enterprise capitalism, defense of our national interests around the world, and promoting the rich and positive heritage of our nation that has made us a free and prosperous people.
