We Need A Leader

Obama knows everything so there is nothing to discuss

I've been watching the interviews with President Obama on various outlets. His body language and his words are telegraphing a plea for economic catastrophe.

His unwillingness to negotiate is saying to the Republicans, I am 100% right and you are wrong. He is saying that he knows everything so there is nothing to discuss. He can blame it on everyone else but Republicans have offered compromises. That is indisputable. I can't imagine any previous President saying that Wall Street is right to be worried. That is inviting creditors to distrust us, markets to slide and our ratings to drop. The better leader might have put a positive spin. He might say, "Yes, we are experiencing unprecedented dysfunction, but all the parties are good Americans who can work things out if they commit to doing so. " Then he would lead by example by making the first concession or accepting the compromise offered, and would stay with the task until things were resolved. Sandy Dameron
