WestJet celebrates 15 years with gifts to guests

CALGARY, - WestJet today begins the celebration of its 15th birthday with a three-day seat sale from Canada to the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean. WestJet will also give away one round-trip flight for two every day for 15 days as part of its first- ever Facebook contest. "In true WestJet style, we're celebrating 15 years of fun, friendly and affordable air travel and giving the birthday gifts to our guests," said Lauri Feser, WestJet Vice-President, Marketing. "I am especially excited at the launch of our Facebook contest. It's a great opportunity for guests to share their travel adventures with us and be entered to win a great prize."

WestJet's Facebook fans receive flight and vacation deals as well as news updates, photos and videos from the WestJet world. "As WestJet continues to grow, our social media initiatives will continue to be a large part of our commitment to a great guest experience. We hope this contest will encourage our guests to connect with us on all of our social media platforms," continued Lauri Feser. To enter the contest, guests are asked to share their best memories, travel tips or tidbits about their favourite WestJet destination on WestJet's Facebook page. By sharing the inside scoop about where to dine, shop or hang out in 250 words or less, guests will be entered to win a daily prize of round-trip airfare for two. A daily winner will be randomly chosen each day during the campaign period between March 15 and March 29, 2011.
